Reviews for Sunrise of Bellevue
Exceptional Staff, Premium Price
Sunrise of Bellevue receives overwhelmingly positive reviews from families praising the exceptionally caring and attentive staff, cleanliness, and abundant daily activities that keep residents engaged. Reviewers consistently emphasize that staff treat residents with dignity and respect, provide personalized care through consistent caregiver assignments, and go above and beyond to support families during difficult transitions. The primary criticism centers on cost, with multiple families noting the facility is expensive, and one highly negative outlier review from 2015 alleged poor treatment, though this contrasts sharply with the consistent praise across dozens of other reviews spanning nearly a decade.
My mom is receiving wonderful care. The team is caring and attentive. We like to joke she’s a real life Benjamin Button! She really seems to be aging in reverse!
My name is Monique, and we are currently doing a Valentines day activity! My husband and I love our apartment. It feels like home. We enjoy the beautiful brunches along with the musical guests. All the staff are wonderful! Sincerely, Monique O.
The minute you enter the parking lot you see the attention to detail of the property. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. You can see the care and concern given to each patient. The person i visited needed some specific attention that was not currently on the nurses schedule but they happily provided the help and made sure the care given was exactly what my friend needed. Highly recommend!
We couldn’t be happier with Sunrise Of Bellevue! Everyone on staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and very there for our dad. We are grateful that he has found such a nice community at Sunrise of Bellevue🩷
I have worked with Sunrise for decades now. First with my mom for assisted and then memory care. My sister when her MS got so bad she couldn’t be home. And now my brother-in-law is in assisted living. The care, respect and love they have shown each of my loved ones - gives me comfort that they are or have been in the best place for them.
My mom has been at Sunrise of Bellevue for 3 years and WOW! I am so grateful that we chose Sunrise of Bellevue. The staff are all AWESOME! She requires full service, shower, bathroom, and dressing needs. The entire team treats my mom with dignity, even when things go awry, and they help her dress so that she looks styling and feels great about her appearance. I was doing everything myself before she arrived at Sunrise and was emotionally exhausted and completely fried. Actually, still am, LoL. S
ALL of the staff are friendly and caring. We are here because of my husband's health. They take such good care of him. I would recommend them to others who are currently searching for a place for their loved one.
The staff is outstanding, both management and caregivers. They have a lot of experience and are deeply committed to the best care for their residents. I absolutely recommend them.
I toured Sunrise of Bellevue, and what I liked best was the environment and welcoming attitude, and the least I liked would be the price. I was shocked at how expensive it was, but it was very comfortable and inviting. The bedrooms are sufficient, but the living spaces are small, and maybe the living spaces within the rooms seemed like an afterthought.
We have been very happy placing mom and dad at Sunrise Bellevue. The staff is warm, caring, and made sure the transition was easy. The place seems to be well run, there are activities every day, and regular entertainment and excursions. The location is great as well. I would recommend Sunrise Bellevue to others.
Heartfelt Gratitude to the Sunrise of Bellevue Team The Sunrise of Bellevue team truly worked a miracle for our family. After the unexpected passing of my father-in-law, we faced a dire situation: finding a memory care facility for my mother-in-law within a week and coordinating her move from another state. After touring several facilities in the region, we found great comfort in Sunrise of Bellevue. The community is cozy, impeccably clean, and welcoming. Every staff member we encountered was
I had 2 meetings with other people regarding personal issues. Both said that when they stepped into the lobby, they felt welcome - before interacting with any staff.
My mother has been staying at Sunrise of Bellevue for the past year, and our experience has been nothing short of incredible. From the start, it’s evident that this facility is dedicated to providing exceptional care and a welcoming environment. The staff at Sunrise of Bellevue are genuinely caring and deeply engaged with all residents. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and supported. The general manager is a standout; she is always present, actively
We just finished a lovely Easter meal. We very much enjoy coming to visit my in-laws, especially for these special occasions. Our six year old loved finding (way too many) eggs hidden around the building. All the employees work hard to engage and care for their residents. Thanks, Sunrise.
The staff keeps me well informed of my dad's status. They have several activities available each day and frequent outings, which are important to us as dad is very social. I would recommend the facility to others!
It's wonderful, extremely caring staff (residents also very welcoming).I especially like the focus of one or two caregivers for a resident...a relationship with trust and consistency can be established and it means better monitoring of the resident's health, etc.
Due to health reasons, I had to move my mom into an assisted living place. Sunrise of Bellevue was highly recommended to me by a friend, whose father had lived there. From day one mom was welcomed by everyone. She was excited to participate in several of the many activities offered there. Unfortunately, her health started failing right away, yet that didn't stop the the amazing care she got. She was treated with warmth, respect, and deep caring. I felt that every time I came to visit mom. I
Mom was really resisting moving into a senior community. She has had a lot of falls and all of knew she needed more help. Our move in day set the tone for what life for mom has been like since she moved in. She is eating better, sleeping better and so much happier. We are so grateful for Sunrise Bellevue.
Sunrise of Bellevue is an excellent community. The staff is really caring and supportive and well-trained. The community is beautiful and is an easy walk to nearby shopping center. My mom loves it here and it is convenient for me.
It's a wonderful place and everyone is really nice and knowledgeable. After meeting with several different homes this one stood out for all the activities offered and everyone we met was very nice and engaging.
I cannot believe how kind and caring the staff is at this building. Every time I visit, there are clusters of residents gathered throughout the sitting areas chatting and smiling. And there is event a community dog!
As an example of Sunrise quality, this last Father’s Day celebration stands out. The luncheon and service were very good (as usual). The high point was the entertainment. The trio of musicians were very enjoyable singing familiar folk songs from the 40s, 50s and 60s. Everybody was singing along and there was even some dancing! A good time was had by all. Thank you, Sunrise!
Sunirse of Bellevue has been great. Facility has a homey feel. Everyone is friendly and shows compassion for the residents. Lots of daily activities for residents to choose from to participate.
They are amazing. They have been very helpful. The maintenance guy went out of his way to help move my dad in. They made sure the transition went well. They encourage my loved one to engage in the activities. I like the way they have arranged the caregiving, by assigning them to the residents, so they can establish a relationship. It allows them to focus on my loved ones needs, and get him to trust them. My loved one is clean, and healthy, and they have made a difference. Overall, I would recomm
Sunrise of Bellevue really appealed to me. It reminds me of an East Coast home. It has high ceilings and artwork on the walls. It's sitting up on a rise, overlooking nice ground. They have lovely people. They are dog-friendly. They have big porches outside to sit on. The facility is very clean and bright. It's just a very, very pleasant place. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We looked at a small studio, which was quite nice. This is on the fourth floor, which is memory care, so it&apos
Sunrise of Bellevue was welcoming. The person I met was very knowledgeable. She provided a lot of information about the facility, gave me pricing information, and introduced me to staff and some of the residents. I could see a lot of activity going on. I could see socialization with the residents there. I could see structured activities, and the results of some of their activities, like artwork that they had done. I could see them playing cards or bridge or preparing to go on an outing. The atm
Assistance in the residents suites available around the clock. Very nice sized studios. I observed the residents enjoying a piano concert when I toured. Everybody seemed engaged and well cared for. Lively group.
The staff is incredible. I come to visit my mom, but also for the smiles, which can be seen even through the ubiquitous masks. They are so warm and loving. Rooms are very comfortable, and well maintained. Activities (movies, trivia, games of various sorts, chair yoga), are numerous, though admittedly my mother has never been very social, so she doesn’t much participate.
We toured Sunrise of Bellevue for my mother. It was a very clean facility. What we liked about it was their commitment to creating a sense of community between the staff and all the residents. Their business model was that. It was a very vibrant community and had a lot of opportunities to meet people. The apartment that we saw had a refrigerator, a microwave, and blinds. They provided a very nice place to move into. They had garden areas and lots of outdoor seating. They're located right ac
The staff are truly caring and committed to pleasing the residents ( finding out what their interests are and taking them on safe outings).t The park is lovely and right outside of the building.
Nice sized studios with private bathrooms
I toured Sunrise of Bellevue for my mom and will go back. Clean, very friendly people, activities and trained staff!
Very warm and friendly staff. Happy residents having an exercise class during our tour. Next to shops and the gorgeous park.
Friendly and professional staff, nice stimulating activities. Nurses are awesome if your loved one needs care.
I toured Sunrise of Bellevue yesterday. It's bright, airy, comfortable, and very welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were roomy, they're very well organized, with high ceilings that make them look larger, and they're very bright and airy. I saw the dining area, but due to Covid, it's closed, but it looks like a very nice restaurant set up. Very well organized, clean, warm. When they open again, I'm sure the residents will like going back to it.
Mom was a resident, memory care. The staff is kind and do the best they can, but perhaps my expectations are too high. The turn over rate seems high, the food is substandard, day to day communication is poor between staff and family. Room cleanliness could be better. Things like keeping track of the residents linens and clothing is an issue. What is promised care wise is not what is delivered. Mostly I am disappointed seeing as you don't get what you pay for. $$$ warning... every littl
I liked that there's a park right behind Sunrise of Bellevue that people can walk up to. It's a large area. The activities director was really nice. The room I saw seemed bigger than the others and long rather than wide. It was nice and it had its own bathroom. They were very friendly and they seemed to have a lot of activities going on.
We chose Sunrise of Bellevue for our daughter. We spoke to a number of places and we liked the people at Sunrise best. It's a wonderful place. It's well maintained, it's got nice stuff in it, and it's a very nice place. The food is excellent, and it's got a good variety, and a good quality of food.
Little too quiet and clinical for our needs but competent care community.
Wonderful energy and this place made the top of our list but unfortunately, too expensive for our budget.
My husband toured this community and he had said he liked it very much. It was going to be a hard decision to chose this community over another he had toured and liked just as much. The community was very well maintained and the landscaping was very well done. The staff was helpful and informative.
We don't like the location of Sunrise of Bellevue. It's right next to a big shopping center. The community was unremarkable, but everything was fine. The staff was good. The apartments were all nice.
I was very pleased with all they offered. They were friendly and accommodating. We didn't choose this facility because it didn't have as many of the activities my dad enjoys nor easy access to the viewing of surrounding activity.
In first two weeks all has gone quite well considering the cross-country move and high care needs of our father. Only 4 places in the Bellevue, Kent, Renton area (excluding home care types) would even allow our mother and father to stay in the same room due to father's very high care needs (hoyering, continence and hygiene care required) - Sunrise was one. The staff is highly caring and compassionate. Response time to call button is amazing (1-2 minutes) compared to what we were used to in a
Even though my husband is not happy being there is he has been doing well there. We started off in assisted living but we decided it was better to move him into the memory care floor and that is a much better environment. It is on the top floor where he can look out at the grounds. The food is wonderful. The staff is good very kind and attentive. The memory care unit is much calmer than the assisted living section. However, this community is more expensive than some of the others I've seen
They offer a good variety of food choices, however mom does not like the taste of much of it. They try to keep mom active and she has started to participate in some of the exercise classes. The community is clean and they have nice grounds. The staff are wonderful. They are encouraging, attentive and sincere about what they are doing. The main reason we chose this community over other communities was the welcoming staff, as they made us feel comfortable.
Very nice facility and had a "home-y" feel that my parents would like. Residents seemed happy and alert. [Removed] was very helpful in answering questions and helping us guide the process. We selected another facility mostly based on cost and size of a facility.
I had taken a tour of this community for my loved one and I was just not as impressed with this place as I was with the other ones. There was not as many activities that I would have liked to see and I was not sure if they did any off campus trips together.
Sunrise of Bellevue was clean. The people were nice. It was more of an assisted living than memory care, and my dad had dementia.
The food is good and the chef is excellent. They offer a variety of appetizers, food and desserts. The dining room and the community are beautiful. The community has four floors and the top floor is for Alzheimer's care. They offer a daily afternoon social. They have a lot of clubs such as crocheting and spanish clubs. They offer a movie nightly in the theater room. Mom has a nice sized apartment. This community was recommended to us and I would recommend it.
We did tour Sunrise, but they are not accepted by our insurance. We asked to move Dad in there for a 24-hour on-call or in-house nursing, and they kept saying yes; however, it turned out to be a nursing assistance and not a nursing RN that we had asked for. We like it a lot, but our question wasn’t answered correctly at the time. We called our insurance and have them checked if Sunrise was approved, and they said no because of the nursing staff. Also, a lot of the staff did not speak very good E
The memory care unit must be a hard place to work and my mom lived there for one year. The staff not one, but all of them impressed me. They treated everyone with dignity and respect and cared for them as of they were one of their family members. Instead of sitting in a room all day doing nothing they engage the seniors into various activities. I was so glad my mom spent her last year of life there and I could never express how grateful I am to everyone on the 4th floor. She came from another fa
Sunrise of Bellevue was very nice, very cultural, with happy people. They have a very happy memory center area. It was clean, and I liked it. The staff was very nice and very professional, and the residents looked very happy.
The staff at Sunrise of Bellevue was perfect. They were amazing, and I would recommend that place to anybody I know. The grounds and location were perfect, better than anywhere else I've seen. The rooms were clean, light, big, and comfortable. She loved the food, and they were very accommodating. She was picky but she really enjoyed the food. Their dining area was better than any place else we've seen. It was a little bit like a restaurant and a little bit like a living room. It was a
My mother was here for half a year. We were very disappointed in all that is "supposed" to happen, based on what the activities calendar showed and what the staff were supposed to do, versus what actually got delivered. Outings did not happen, housekeeping did not show up when they were supposed to. Management did nothing about it other than acknowledge staffing problems. For the money, there are far better places.
Wow what a wonderful place to have my grandma to live. The house keeper (mirna) was so wonderful and good since of humor she made us feel welcome she keeps sunrise so nice and clean I know my grandma loves her a lot.
This place is too crowded and they treat their seniors like animals. They force them to stay in their rooms during certain times of the day. They use threats to keep the seniors in line. This place is a nightmare and unfortunately my grandma had to endure this place for 2 years before she finally had the courage to tell me how bad it really was. Stay far away from this place it is horrible
I really liked Sunrise of Bellevue. It was not too fancy, but it was not too old either. It didn't look like one of the things my mother didn't want. She didn't want to feel like she was placed in a nursing home, and she didn't want to lose her independence; part of that was being somewhere that wouldn't made her feel old. Sunrise of Bellevue was perfect. It was like modern, but comfortable for my grandma. I was not sure about their activities, but when we came, someone
My mother has been at Sunrise of Bellevue for a month now. When I first took her there, she immediately had a really good feeling about it. They have a lot of great activities. She is in a really good transition. It is absolutely immaculate inside and out. They take wonderful care of the grounds. They have a garden area where people can plant their own garden. They also have lovely sitting areas outside. The inside is as clean as it can be. They have light housekeeping everyday in the individual
My mom is at Sunrise. Everything is just fine. She is enjoying herself. She is getting used to this community. The apartments are very nice. Their staff is friendly. The food is pretty good. My mom doesn't have any complaints about it. Regarding activities, my mom seems to be active. She is taking part in the activities that they have going on. What stands out to me about this place is that it is like a great big home. They've got it set up so that it is like home.
Sunrise was all right. The staff treated me well. The rooms were good. I had lunch there. The food was great. It seemed very secure. They were going out to go to a mall when I was there.
They have been just fabulous. There is a lot going on for activities. Their food is really good, we have had a few meals there, and she really likes it. We have been really impressed with the food. Everyone from the other place we were recommended it as being the top of the line and that's what made us choose this. She is getting really good care there.
It is very fancy, very nice, but a little ostentatious. It was Like walking into the lobby of Caesar’s Palace. The people were nice. The place we chose felt more like home. If you’re used to a lot of marble and a very upscale experience, this might be the place for you.
My wife is at Sunrise of Bellevue. We looked all the ones around here, and that was the best one. It is a very friendly and very nice place. There are a lot of activities. The staff is very patient, very friendly, and very nice. The rooms there are fine. They are large, very nice, and very clean. Food is very good. They have a bistro there like a big restaurant, yet they have individual eating places in various part of the facility.
Sunrise was clean and more organized. It had a facility for handling dementia patients. Everybody looked friendly and all the marketing people were very nice. The dementia care patients were in a locked down area.
Sunrise was nice. It was more of like a grandmother's home. The staff was friendly. It was just the one that my mom is right now was a better fit for her.
My mom ultimately picked Sunrise over others. She likes this place. Everything is great there. I think the staff is awesome. They really care about the people there. They're working very hard to get my mom back involved in doing things. I like them. They also have tons of activities for their residents. Their rooms are fine and very comfortable. The food is great. I would recommend people to go there and check them out.
My Grandfather stayed at this facility two years ago. After looking in the area for a safe place after his stroke, we chose Sunrise for several reasons. The staff seemed caring and actually interested in his welfare. The process for admission wasn't too difficult and he was settled in to a two room suite. It was actually fairly roomy and after the furniture was moved in, it became a homey place. He enjoyed it for awhile but ultimately, we decided to move him. The Staff turned out to b
