Nice Units, Neglected Property
Kinect @Burien features modern, attractive interiors with nice amenities, but is severely undermined by filthy grounds, unresponsive management, and safety concerns. Multiple residents report trash, feces, vomit, needles, and diapers littering the property daily with no management action despite repeated complaints. Chronic issues include broken elevators, homeless individuals camping at entrances, parking fees up to $275, frequent false alarms, and deteriorating building conditions, leading most residents to plan their exit despite rent exceeding $2,500/month.
Pros: -Units are nice. -Gym, lounge, and community kitchen are nice. -Downtown Burien is a 100-foot walk away giving easy access to local businesses and restaurants. -Quick access to highways and Rapid Ride bus stop -Right next to post office -Management most of the time is communicative and helpful, with exceptions listed below. -Neighbors are usually nice. The apartments themselves are actually pretty nice inside—sleek counters, decent closets, windows that don’t immediately make you question your life choices. Love the apartments insides. If my living experience were just based on that- 4/5 stars. But oh my god- this place is FILTHY. Trash, feces, vomit, needles and diapers everywhere outside. We have contacted management so many times to NO response, not even a “thanks for your input” BS. Based on that alone, we are going to move out. Also people sleeping right by both entrances. Harmless I’m sure, but for $2500 a month- I would expect at least a little effort in cleaning up around the apartment. The
I am very pleased with the apartment I have at Kinect @Burien. I have a two bedroom unit which I am setting up to be not only my living space but also my office and craft space. The staff - Melissa and Taylor - has been extremely helpful and supportive even when I told them I was painting a wall chroma green so I could do virtual backgrounds. High-end end Apartment, not so high-end Living. 1. Weed smell- I see someone's review about weed smell. They smoke it all the time inside and right outside on the bench by the entrances front and back. 2. homeless people- They are always on the bench right by the entrance makes me feel unsafe to enter. I had to go to the other side, avoiding them a few times. They need to increase security. 3. Elevator down all the time. 4. False Smoke alarms - so many times even on the morning of Christmas day
