I recently spent 12 days at Garden Terrace for rehab. It was clean and the food was ok. The direct service providers were under staffed but for the most part, I received good care. Melinda, Kara and Nurse Estella provided especially good care. I was surprised they do not provide decaf coffee. I could not drink regular coffee and I'm sure there were others who needed decaf. Garden Terrace is modern, clean and was well staffed during my daytime visit. Meals provided to the patients look substantial and appetizing. The employees that I encountered seemed very pleasant and professional. My visit was brief, but everything, including the Christmas decorations were nice. This is the 4th time my Mom has been to Garden Terrace for rehab. The 4 stars are for the Staff, they are great, however, the problem with Garden Terrace is there is never enough of that fabulous staff. Tonight as I went to visit my mother, 5 rooms had lights flashing, and there was only a couple staff (as far as I could tell) available to deal with all the calls for help. Not great in a place where everyone needs help.

My wife is receiving very compassionate care. The caregivers are exceptional. My wife and I are truly grateful for the entire Garden Terrace Team. I highly recommend Garden Terrace.

My husband was admitted to Garden Terrace after a complete knee & femur replacement. We were very pleased with his care & everyone that worked there couldn’t have been more helpful! I was at Garden Terrace for a little over 3 months. The CNA‘s were my main contacts & I especially appreciated Evanson, Christine and Mercy on the dayshift, Miranda on the evening shift & Rosemary on the night shift. The PR & OT therapists were excellent, encouraging and focused. For PT I worked mainly with Ty and OT, primarily Sean. Heyyoung, Neil, Penina, & Maggie are 4 of the nurses with whom I had very positive interactions. My main negative comment is a management issue. Management does not

The facility knew my husband discharge date from insurance a full week before we where informed of his discharge. They failed to notify us until the day before discharge. Had we been advised early we could have appealed to the insurance company. And a full week after the expedited discharge I get a notification in mail that I could appeal this decision. They do not care about their patience and are in it strictly for the money. My husband's backside was not being cleaned properly causing bleed

We have had very good interactions with the employees of Garden Terrace. The receptions are very professional and always smiling. The nurses and others on the floor are willing to help us find face mask and answer any questions we have.

Garden Terrace rehab facility in Federal Way Washington has been neglecting care for Marie M for the better part of a week. She sat in a feces filled diaper many times (at least three times) for many hours. During which, she contracted C Diff, a very painful colonic bacterial infection, and now she is in ICU at St. Francis in Federal Way. My husband was admitted to Garden Terrace on Sat. afternoon so our first interaction with nursing and PT/OT was today and I am impressed with the thorough care from PT. The facility is very clean with beautiful grounds. My husband said good food and several activities fir the patients.

I arrived at Garden Terrace to visit a friend. I was surprised to see such a beautiful decor of the inside of the building. I notice how the outside of the doors looked like a rea woodel house door. I thought it was a very comfortable look. The halls and rooms appeared to be clean and tidy. My friend told me she really liked it there. The staff and nurse assistance are very Kind. I would go there if I needed rehab. It doesnt feel like any nursing home I've ever have visited. It's a 5 star! 🌟

My 92 year old Mom broke her hip. She has been at Garden Terrace for Aprox 3 weeks now. I am so happy with the care my Mom is getting from everyone there. She is treated with such loving care and respect. My Mom feels safe and comfortable being there. I spend a lot of time there and they never make me feel unwelcome. A very positive place.

I went to visit my friend and neighbor at Garden Terrace, and we had a very pleasant time. The facility is very clean, decorated pleasantly, and had seating areas outside of the patients room so you could have a more private conversation. The staff was respectful of our time together. My friend seems to like staying for her current condition, but her goal is to be able to go home ASAP.

My mother was transferred to Garden Terrace for rehab after hospitalization for a fall. Everyone has been so helpful and friendly. We’ve had a couple of care conferences with the social worker, PT and OT, which were great. I appreciate their expertise and the care, and advice they’ve all provided. Love that place!!

I was there in 2018 for three weeks due to needed rehab for having both my knees replaced. I so enjoyed my time as the environment was warm and inviting. They cared with personal time when they could... I made friends. My brother is there now and has more wrong with him then just needing rehab due to vascular dementia and they take the extra time needed to keep him connected, safe and healthy

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR FAMILY HERE!!! They DO NOT TAKE CARE OF ELDERLY people in critical condition!!! My father came there in from heart surgery COULD eat and sit up and in less than a week got worse and worse by the day. In less than a week, he could no longer sit up, had new HUGE bed sores from not being cleaned properly and supposedly could no longer eat or drink, not even water. They kept him heavily drugged up so he wouldn’t bother staff only to have him sitting in poop for hours, not brush his

Didnt order meds that needed 24 hrs to process. Finally said they would order at 1pm, 7:30pm call from mom...not facility...that a daily required med was not available. Lets not even go into how wasnt checked in or had intake until 4+ hours later when children showed up and complained. Transported at 11am, no lunch served. Thank you for roommates daughter who requested Mom be served lunch. Not enough staff. Hmmmmm

The first thing to hit you when you walk into a facility such as Garden Terrace, a rehabilitation/care facility in Federal Way, usually is the smell. It's kind of sickening, really! Unpleasant. When I walked into Garden Terrace, with my cousin, who's 93 year old mom is there, I thought i was prepared. I clearly was not, but rather pleasantly surprised! I have always liked Garden Terrace and was thrilled that they took Alec , my husband for rehab. He's in his 80s with dementia , Multiple Sclerosis and mobility issues . In two weeks the staff was able to get him back to standing and able to transfer him to and from his wheelchair . I was afraid to come here because I had a very bad experience at a different similar facility. But when I got here and saw the gorgeous property, the ultra clean facility, and the most caring staff I have ever experience, I felt at ease. Not only that, the staff showed great respect for me and for each other! I don't eat beef and pork so the kitchen staff made sure to make me lunches and dinners without these. Mom (101 yrs) was transferred yesterday evening from the hospital after having a post/rod and screw put in her hip due to a fracture. The difference from last night to lunchtime today is like night and day! Mom was in the dining room having a yummy lunch when we arrived, dressed in clean pj's, hair combed, nails trimmed, and was talkative, smiling, laughing and happy. I do not have the words to describe how this made me feel. She had also had PT already. My heart is full. The place is beautiful

My five star rating comes after I have spent the last month visiting my dear wife each day for up to 5 to 8hrs at Garden Terrace Healthcare Center in Federal way. My wife suffers with acute life threatening and chronic health issues needing constant attention. She is in the Azalea section of the center. The dedication to patient care is evident in everything they do. The nurse team pays meticulous attention to detail in administering my wife's medications and the gentle way they care for her 24

Visiting my mom on her second time here. The only issue I had on the visit was that there was no one at the front desk to let me know what room she was in. My sister had told me that she was in the same wing as last year. When I got to the wing, there was no one at the nurses station. After 15 minutes of waiting i finally had to call my sister to find out what room she was in.

I have a very close connection / Communication with my mom we talk on a daily basis several times a day , she is very thankful how attentive they are within her care and any other need .I would recommen

Entered after 5pm. Staff was helpful in directing me to the right place and how to use the door alarm system. I appreciated their kindness.

I needed to request an increase in my mother's activity. Everyone that needed to make that happen was available and supported this effort and in 15 minutes everything was in place. All staff members were excited to see my mom doing so well and happy to help her get to the point she could return home.

I'm giving this rating because it is way too early to know how I feel about Garden Terrace and their care. My MIL was put in hospice here and she just looks pitiful, but her admission went very well and the nurses were very kind.

Paul’s room is perfect for him — the garden area outside his window is very restful. The pt care workers were very patient with him

They have a COVID outbreak. Instead of telling people at the door as you walk in they Tell you as you walk out, to wrar mask. They claim to have a notice at door. Did not see any. Only when we walked out. They need a body at the door to tell people. A complete disregard of peoples health.

My wife is staying in Garden Terrace for short-term physical therapy. The staff are very professional. The meals are well prepared and presented.

Check in was today for my husband and it went very smoothly. Person at the front desk was pleasant and helpful.

The staff nurses and pt and occupational therapy were great. While the social workers and the people that are supposed to set up appointments and follow up appointments feel short and when it came time to release her from there no one followed up when my son and i got there no one knew she was being released it was a cluster of mistakes i understand it was a holiday weekend but no excuse for that. I was a visitor to a patient. Receptionist provided information on how to find her. They still have fresh hot beverage options and cookies for visitors at the entrance. Staff seemed attentive to my friend when she rang for assistance.

I stayed here for about a month to recover from orthopedic surgery and to gain some strength before heading home. The staff is amazing! From housekeeping, nursing staff, administrative staff and of course all the therapists. Everyone was so helpful and made me feel like family. It was my 1st visit Staff seemed nice & helpful. Facility was bright & clean. Parking wasn’t a problem for me, but the very limited parking near the entrance could be an issue for walking-challenged people.

Everyone working at Garden Terrace was incredibly kind and patient. I know my grandma can be demanding when she isn't feeling well, but the workers here do an incredible job helping out and being kind. Marisol and Esther are literally angels. There are incredible people keeping this place going and I know the job isn't easy. Very grateful people and places like this exist.

Met with Social Service staff to discuss home health services for DISCHARGING resident. Both Bidget and Elizabeth truly care about the residents and their ability to manage going home successfully. They provide me with the needed records to make may job easier !

Today was my first day visiting my father there and I would have to say it's a beautiful place and it seems like they take care of the residents that are there so I'm grateful for that. My experience with some of these homes like this are very bad. Garden terrace seems to be top shelf

I've been here twice in 3 days to visit a dying neighbor. The ENTIRE staff is absolutely phenomenal. They are attentive and super friendly right when you step inside the front door. I came into contact with multiple staff in the only 30 mins I was there and everyone was so warm and nice. They appear to be continually making rounds and checking on patients. Rooms and overall facility very clean and organized. No elderly odors due to superior ventilation. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this facility!!!

Very kind staff constantly helping my mother,caring for her needs and request. They were also very thoughtful and considerate , such as bringing more chairs for more family members who arrived while stating to not worry about where to put them when we left as that he would do it . To know that was the care my mother was receiving gave me a lot of comfort and I couldn’t ask for more.

A good friend of mine spent ten days post hospital care in Garden Terrace. I had the opportunity to visit him three or four times. Certainly he seemed to be very satisfied with the care he received. I am I impressed by the cleanliness of the place, the care that is given and the hospitality that is shown.

Garden Terrace is where I started my nursing career back in 2003. I have referred many friends and families to GT as people have asked me what skilled nursing facility they should take their loved ones to. They're definitely one of the best SNF's in the South sound area.

My Dad is almost 90 and having health issues. These teams of health care professionals are AMAZING. We can't say enough good things about them and their level of professionalism. They are above and beyond wonderful. If our Mother ever needs to come to a nursing home rehabilitation center I pray we can get her here. This is the best of the best. Kind nurses when my spouse and I visited my mother, however, bed rails were requested earlier in the day for her, and even by 8 pm, there were none provided. My mother fell out of her bed in the night after we went home. Her room phone can only take incoming calls, as well, so she couldn't call us. Not feeling very confident about this place. Will definitely make sure every day that my mother is being treated very well.

I came to visit a delightful friend Myra whom is doing physical therapy for a broken Femoral after surgery. Sharing her month stay thus far, She has had a positive experience Except for two very rude and uncaring nurses that are not regular nurses there. The facility is delightful.

This is my wife's second time staying at Garden Terrace. It is a wonderful facility with very caring and friendly staff. I like to have dinner with my wife so I eat here most evenings and the meals I have tried are healthy and good and I have enjoyed them. I recommend Garden Terrace to all who might need the care they provide here.

I was in there for 3 weeks after Major Back Surgery.the nurses and staff were so kind. The main RN Molly is ExtraordinaryThe only complaint I would have is the food was not so good so I ordered fruit for breakfast and lunch and pray dinner was good. My Husband was in the Garden Terrace Rehab in Federal WA from the 29th of June to the 25th of July. I cannot express our Thanks for such efficient care he received during his rehab visit. If you love and care about your family member, DO NOT PUT THEM IN GARDEN TERRACE. They are disgustingly neglectful and abusive. I am also not sure if they are lazy or just do not care for their patients. I hope this place will be either shut down or completely taken over by COMPASSIONATE and competent health care workers.

My grandma stayed here and they were not very nice to her. Terrible service. We were here for 2 days and decided this place is not good for her to stay so we took her home. She didn’t even get physical therapy at all when she was there. They have quite a bit of improvement. Not impressed. But I have respect for all the workers and I know it’s tough but the business itself definitely needs work

Nursing staff was not friendly and seemed unprofessional and not concerned with my father in law's care.

My grandfather was here recently and it was a horrible experience. If your loved one is needing ASSISTED living care...I would not recommend this place.

Please reconsider this facility and do not be deceived by the “good reviews/ratings” as our family was. The nurses forgot to give my loved one their medicine and did not follow hospital discharge and doctor’s instructions. Like other reviews, I received many excuses from staff. No one took accountability. Bathroom assistance was requested 3 different times within a 6 hour period but was only provided when I came and inquired with the CNA as to why nothing was provided when my loved one request

Garden Terrace has provide outstanding customer service helping my mom throughout her recovery process after her hospital stay. Every staff member has been more helpful than I could have imagined; from the OT, PT, nurses, doctor, and all staff, there hasn't been a detail left unattended. It looks, feels, and smells like a 5 star hotel! If I ever need a skilled nursing facility I would choose Garden Terrace for myself. My mom is at Garden Terrace now. It's a beautiful facility, doesn't smell bad, and everyone who works there is really nice. It's a great place. The staff is very good, and the food is OK. My mom is actually in the Alzheimer's unit now, and they have more activities, like they keep everybody in the living room all day for coloring and doing crafts. My mom and dad are currently at Garden Terrace of Federal Way. It's convenient to get to and they have friendly staff. The facility is also very clean. I'm fine with everything and would recommend their rehabilitation services to others.

My mother-in-law stayed at Garden Terrace while she recuperated from surgery on her leg. Some members of the staff, at first, were kind of difficult for her to get along with, in the beginning. But it didn't take long before we saw that they were caring, professional, friendly and surprisingly easy-going.
