Reviews for Kenmore Senior Living
Caring Staff, Clean Facility, Inconsistent Food
Kenmore Senior Living earns strong praise for its caring, attentive staff—particularly sales/lease managers and caregivers who know residents by name and provide compassionate care through end-of-life. Families consistently highlight cleanliness, friendly atmosphere, and solid activities programming. However, food quality is a persistent weak spot, with multiple complaints about cold/lukewarm meals, dry desserts, limited menu flexibility, and items running out. A few reviews cite understaffing, low caregiver wages, small apartment sizes, and one family experienced a devastating last-minute move-in cancellation that left a vulnerable resident scrambling.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and the apartment has been updated and is nice. The food is not great and they seem to run out of things that are on the menu quite frequently.
I had a wonderful experience with April Fisher, who took me around to the different available apartments which I’m looking at for my friend who can’t drive and can’t get there, but used to live in the area. Everything is beautiful. Your next question asks me about the price that I paid in. I did not pay any price because I was looking at the place for a friend, but I thought the studio price was quite reasonable so I will say that even though it’s not for me.
My mom moved to the assisted living facility of Kenmore Senior Living. They had the different things that we were looking for. It was in the right area, and the price was always too high, but they just had the things that we were looking for my mom. The people who work there are nice, and there are lots of nice people who actually live there, too. It's clean, has lots of light with windows everywhere, and they have a big courtyard and a backyard that people can use. My mom says the food is
Beautiful building and the staff is great
April gave us a full tour of the place. Looked nice and clean. Residents we met were nice and recommended Kenmore Senior living.
Complete and total waste of time. My mother passed away, and we need a home for a long time family friend with dementia that lived with her. He cannot take care of himself well enough to be in the home alone, and the executor of the estate is evicting him. WE WASTED ALMOST A ENTIRE MONTH. ALL. OF. OUR. TIME. This facility let us tour, went over the financials and showed us all the AVAILABLE rooms. he has retirement money, which they would be taking all of monthly except $100 and the rest is paid
My mom moved into Kenmore Senior Living. They have excellent staff. It's very well taken care of, and they work well with the tenants. They have an excellent activities program. I've talked to a lot of the clients there, and they're extremely satisfied with the accessibility and the type of programs they offer. The food is very good. They have a well-balanced variety of meals, and she loves it.
Food is often cold and desserts are dry in the baked goods. The sales director, [name removed]is very helpful and the nursing lead staff is outstanding. Rooms are not large for this category, but ample enough. Activities and amenities are available to all in activity or theater rooms. Outside patio looks great for better weather times.
How wonderful to be recognized upon my arrival with a welcome sign. I found Langley to be completely knowledgeable and courteous in our appointment and tour. At the time of the tour, she answered all my questions and listened quietly as I spoke of my senior living needs. I did not feel anything was being withheld. A courtesy lunch was provided and tasted absolutely delicious. I would encourage anyone to check this place out.
I like the people and the cleanliness best. The staff are all friendly , welcoming and easy to talk with about care. Meals are balanced but there is little deviation from the menu for those with dietary issues. They also could respond quicker to residents.

We used this facility for a memory care patient. They were very patient and caring and contacted us regularly for any health concerns they noticed immediately. They helped us with getting additional care such as information about a geriatric physician that visited the home regularly and also a podiatrist to help us with care on site. They went out of their way to help us with placement and even helped with a situation for a temporary bed and chair until we could get our family members furniture
We toured Kenmore Senior Living. It was a very nice lunch. The food was very good. We also had nice cookies and they sent us home with cookies. The facility, everything was lovely. It was clean. It was neat. It was attractive. They had rooms set up for us to look at. We looked at floor plans. The people living there stopped and said, 'This is the best place to go. It's really good.' They had activities. It's got a military base. There's a lot of people. There were lots o
The staff, especially [name removed], have been so terrific! She has made a difficult transition for our family so much easier. Her sense of empathy, humor and attention to detail have helped me navigate the unknown. Clean new apartment with new paint, flooring and bright light windows, with friendly staff and residents. Our family made the best choice in helping my mom transition to assisted living!!!
From the beginning of my dad's journey at Kenmore Senior Living to the very end, the staff was absolutely amazing. The Lease Manager, Langley, was incredibly communicative and worked at a very fast pace to help me transfer my dad from his skilled nursing facility. She came out the next day with a nurse for an assessment, and my dad moved in just a few days later. Langley was always positive and helpful, patiently answering my 100 questions at the start! The care staff were excellent, especially
The staff at KSL is super friendly, the facility is clean and well kept. Langley was very responsive to all our needs, I'm super glad we got to work with her. We toured the place and met several residents heading for lunch, they told us the food at KSL is really good. We tried the chef's cookies which are delicious!
My dad hated it there. He only stayed for a few months before moving somewhere else. The Food was his biggest complaint and base don the experience we had, we would not recommend this community to other families.
My loved one was previously a resident at Kenmore Senior Living. I would recommend this facility for anyone who fits the facility based on their needs/what they are looking for.
Hello, I want to shout of the sales manager, Langley Jackson. Langley has a kind, caring, and compassionate heart for what she does. I’m having a hard time acknowledging my mother in laws care. My husband is thrilled we toured here first. Langley was patient and answered all the questions i had during my tour. At all the places I’ve toured, Langley has a heart for the seniors and not money. I will be choosing this community for mom in a few months. I want to add, Linda the front desk is welcomin

I want to thank Langley the sales manager, she gave me and my brother a well guided tour and helped us understand the difference between assisted living and memory care. I can tell you she takes the time to understand what we are saying, and will give us the best resources moving forward. Also, the caregivers said hello during the tour, which is huge when choosing for mom.
What our family likes most about the Kenmore Senior Living community is the location. Overall it is a nice place and we would recommend them to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.
My mother has been a resident for 6 years and I am impressed with the good care she has received. This institution has continually upgraded each year and my mother is very happy living here.
You offer a wonderful service!I looked at 2 homes. I chose this one over the other because it suited [name removed] better. The other was located next to a very busy road that felt unsafe to access. The community areas were noisy. In addition there was very little outdoor space and what there was, was paved and unpleasant. The memory care room was very small for a single unit as well. The staff was very nice though.
We toured Kenmore Senior Living during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. They were unable to understand food allergies and were downplaying both of my loved one's needs in different ways. The salesman left a very sour taste with some of his comments.
The Exceutive Director and his entire staff are wonderful and so helpful with whatever we need. The med techs and caregivers are so respectful and helpful.
my apartment is kept clean. I like the food that is served, sometimes I have gone on trips
Needs updating in bathroom. Overall, it's alright. Dining room is very bad, the noise level is very very bad. Meals are lukewarm or cold.
Kenmore Senior Living was pretty good. It was an older building, but I thought my mother might like it there. The staff was good, and they seemed very kind and professional. The room that they showed me had a Southern exposure so she could get good daylight and it had a view of the trees outside. I saw the community room. They were talking about a library where they were going to add some more books and DVDs to it. They've got activities that they schedule. The one thing I noticed driving u
I love the staff. There just isn't enough of them and they are not trained well. The ones we have are kind and caring. They are not being paid a livable wage. The food is awful for this age group, I think.
Kenmore Senior Living is FANCY. It looks brand new. The atmosphere felt a little cold to me, but I didn't tour it long because I knew my mother wouldn't like it.
I went to Kenmore Senior Living. It was newly refurbished and the decor was very nice. The pictures on the painting look good on the wall. And the pictures on the wall were nice. The flooring was good. They had outdoor facilities like a garden that was in the center of the community. The community was around this garden, which is nice to have. Then they had an outdoor, long patio that people could go to. They did have a fitness room and they had a physical exercise in the morning if you want it
The tour guide at Kenmore Senior Living was a very friendly person. Her name was Kim. Kim did a very good job of going through and explaining all of the facilities and features. She showed all the different areas. We saw the cafeteria, the activities room, and the stuff they just remodeled. It was very nice, clean and very bright. It was kept up nicely. There's a nice little garden in the back, and the rooms were decent sized. It's a smaller group with only about 20 residents, so t
My dad lives here and is very happy! He is now close to where me and my children (his grandchildren) live. We like to visit him. He has made friends, likes exercise class and the food, staff are great!
Grat Place!! I looked all over the place and finally found a home for my parents. The rooms are warm and sunny and the food was amazing!!
I toured this place for my mom, it was so nice. When I came in they had a welcome sign and the staff greated me and my mom with smiles and warmpth. Its a beautiful place and the care is amazing !! I recommend Kenmoer Senior Living to anyone who wants a small community for their loved ones.
My parents have lived here for six months. I do not worry about my dad anymore, they are very happy so I am happy! They like the food, activities and the staff is great. Everyone is friendly! I like to visit them. I recommend Kenmore Senior living to anyone looking.
This facility has been so good for our loved one. She is adjusting very well and seems to enjoy all the residents. The food is good and I love that the administrative people are being seen among all the residents doing the activities with them. The activities are great and everyday they have fun things to do. Great place for our family.
My mom lives here and really loves it. She lived in another community before and was not happy. She enjoys the food, different activities and she is well cared for by staff.
I love living here! My apartment is nice, the food is tasty and the staff is excellent. I highly recommend Kenmore Senior Living for anyone looking
I am looking for a place for my dad. Had a great tour with the sales director who is friendly and professional. I am planning on moving him this summer. The building was clean, residents looked happy and the place was lively. I think he will be happy here!
I enjoy living here. The food is delicious staff is great, lots of activities. I have made many friends and I recommend Kenmore Senior Living.
I toured today and telly like this community. The sales director was excellent and very knowledgeable. The place was beautiful, warm and inviting. I would like to move here when I sell my condo. The activity director seemed like a lot of fun!
I am really happy here! I just moved in to the community. Residents and staff are very nice. I have made friends and engage in lots of activities. You get plenty of food and it is very good. Grateful to be here!
Great staff, med techs, caregivers, our meals 3x a day are delicious! Fun activities, exercise program every morning.
I have lived here for 5 months. I really like living here with my wife. I like going for walks in the courtyard. Everyone is friendly.
I really enjoy living here. I have made many new friends. The food is great! I enjoy doing crossword puzzles and visiting with people.
Welcoming, warm, fun, friendly great people (residents and workers) in a location better than no other. We are so blessed to have our parents here. [name removed] is so compassionate and has a great way with people. [name removed] is so kind and accommodating. Their service is invaluable.
The staff were all great but there were a few drawbacks that we saw. The rooms are not furnished at all so you do have to spend more money to provide all of your own furniture. The facility is smaller and the apartment sizes are small as well. There is very little parking so sometimes you have to park a few blocks away and walk to get to it.
[name removed] has done a great job/ [ name removed] is also very good.
my parents have lived here for 10 years. we have so many great things to share about the community. the staff is exceptional. the activities meet many different interests, the building is welcoming and the food is delicious. the two people I really want to give kudos to are [name removed] and [name removed]. they add so much love and compassion to the residents.
The residents of Kenmore Senior Living take their meals together. They have very small rooms and had no doors in them, but they had really wide doorways. I just thought that was very odd because if there were two people in the apartment and somebody came to visit them, everyone in the living room would be looking at the person in bed. A little privacy would be nice. There were no kitchens, too.
Nice little price, they were remodeling. The tour was very nice. Location was the main reason we didn't chose this place. It was close to a busy major road.
Transitioning Mary's father to assisted living facility was daunting but the staff at Kenmore Senior Living were there to assist every step of the way. From providing information and guidance at initial tour; reserving an apartment; assessment; moving (recommended movers) and doing so much to make my father feel welcomed. Her father has language/communication difficulties and the staff was there to work around this and resolve to meet his needs. Kim Spencer and Natasha Lillo are very knowledge
Every since I moved my Mom to Kenmore Senior Living, we have experience an understanding, compassionate and very responsive staff. Everyone there has been most helpful and respectful of our wishes. We constantly receive updates of how my mother is doing, including pictures. We looked at several places and are so happy and satisfied, we chose this place-Kenmore Senior Living.
The remodel looks great! I really like the colors, lighting and flooring. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful. The staff were warm and friendly. The residents seemed very happy.
We chose Kenmore because they had assisted living as well as memory care available. They were also very friendly and gave us a great tour and answered all of our questions that we asked. I would recommend them to others looking.
My dad is a new resident of Kenmore Senior Living and we have been very happy with our experience so far. Kim and her team have been warm, welcoming, flexible, and informative throughout our exploration and move in process. The building is being remodeled throughout and the apartments are lovely. We are so grateful to have found Kenmore Senior Living!
I toured Kenmore Senior Living with my mom. We were greeted with lots of warm and friendly smiles. The tour was excellent with [name removed]. The residents we spoke with and staff all seemed very happy. I plan on moving Mom in.
My grandmother very recently moved into Kenmore Senior Living and while we were nervous about how she would adjust to a new environment let alone a new state we were pleasantly surprised to see how well she has been adjusting. She is attending art classes and moving around much more than she ever has. One thing I will also mention is that every time I visit Kenmore and run into staff, they always greet me with a smile as well as other residents and visitors.
I have lived at this wonderful community for over a year. It is a great place. The food is yummy, staff is friendly, other residents are nice and plenty to keep me busy. I recommend Kenmore Senior Living to anyone looking.
My brother lives at Kenmore Senior Living. I go visit him often. He is very happy there and is well cared for. If he is happy I am happy! I do not worry about him living alone anymore.
My parents have called this place home for nine years. They enjoy the activities and entertainment planned by the staff. I am so happy that they are happy!
[name removed] has been very helpful in transitioning my parents to Kenmore Senior Living. She hit if off with my dad and helped ease his mind for this big change. The facility is undergoing updates but this is a clean, friendly environment.
[name removed] gave me a tour today. She was very friendly & professional. I love the community. Everyone is happy. I am going to move in this summer.
I lived in another community and moved here. I like it at Kenmore Senior Living a lot better! The food is great, care is good and a lot of activities I go to.
Kenmore senior living has done a great job with my mom who has neuropathy and dementia. The care givers, Kim, and James work hard to keep the level of care high and your loved ones safe. I recommend this facility to anyone with a loved one experiencing these issues!
Kenmore Senior Living is close and it's not too expensive. I toured their assisted living yesterday and they're right in the middle of remodeling. My husband wanted a weight room and they don't have one. That's the only thing we could find that he didn't like. The staff was very friendly and informative. They have a hair salon and they have a cool outdoor area where you can go outside and sit in the sun. He just liked that it's calm. He felt the calmness there. The
Kenmore Senior Living has been so friendly and incredibly helpful with the process of moving my dad to a better place to live where he can be more comfortable and make friends. Thank you for all your help.
I toured Kenmore Senior Living with my 103 year old Dad. As soon as you walk in the door it is warm and inviting. Staff are professional, friendly and caring to seniors. It is a beautiful community!
My mom has lived at Kenmore Senior Living for many years, and we are SO very happy that she lives there. During the pandemic, they did such a great job keeping everyone safe, and at a certain point, allowed for outdoor visits with mom. They stayed very informed on the state of things, and did such a great job of communicating with the families. Mom loves it there, and that makes us so happy! The ladies that run the front desk, have been so very helpful and kind, and we appreciate it so much!
The staff at Kenmore Senior Living is kind, caring and concerned about the well-being of it residents. Sales Director Kim Spencer is a true professional and always greets you with a smile on her face. The facility is clean, well maintained and easy to navigate your way around.
I had never heard the name "assisted living." This home was perfect, and I love the staff and residents. I particularly have been impressed with the Sales Director. She is special. She welcomed me into my home with such friendliness, and her tours are so thorough.
My mother (age 88) has lived at Pacifica Kenmore (formerly Sunrise Kenmore) for close to 2 years. The staff is well trained, caring, responsive, respectful, and above all, kind. The facility is clean and cheerful. Meals are appetizing. Resident health and safety are taken seriously. Family members are treated as welcome guests and kept well informed. Our family has only good things to say about our mom's experience there.
I've been in Kenmore Senior Living for about six years now. I think it's great. I've lived in many different ones and then I moved here and this is where I'm going to stay. The people are nice and the workers are good (what's left of them). I'm in a wheelchair, and about a block from here, we have 27 big nests of gray herons and and I go there quite often. It's been so fascinating being able to get there. It's a real asset to this place to be so close to i
The activities are fun and engaging. The paper airplane contest with the grandpas throwing them off the balcony was highly entertaining.
Kenmore Senior Living is a wonderful place to live. The staff is highly experienced at senior care and compassionate. The activities are fun and adapted to all levels.
I have lived here at this community for 4 years. The food is good here and they take good care of me. I enjoy going to activities.
I moved to this location four years ago and I have had wonderful times. The staff and caregivers are the most caring people ever.
I have been here for 8 years and really like it here at Kenmore. The people are very nice, helpful, and the food is great!
I am a resident at Kenmore Senior Living. I've lived here with my husband for nine years. I'm the ambassador here. It really is a very friendly community. The people all get along. The staff is very supportive. It's just nice place to live. We have a girl who has been the activity director for the last 20 years, and she is absolutely amazing. She's the top of anything we've ever had. Not only does she have just the regular things that we're doing it like bingo, word
Overall this is a wonderful place for my mother. Her needs will be increasing and Kenmore Senior Services is able to accommodate her needs. Her apartment is super cute and comfortable. They allow her to have her cat.
I'm a resident at Kenmore Senior Living. It's a very nice place to live. The staff members are very caring and attentive. My apartment is comparable. It has all the amenities. I have been here for almost nine years. They have a movie theater, a library, an exercise room, a dining room, nice hallways to walk in and exercise, and a nice courtyard. The chef does an outstanding job with the food.
Kenmore Senior Living is like being on a cruise and not leaving the port! Great food, activities, happy hour, exercise classes.
My grandpa [name removed] is very happy he moved into Kenmore Senior Living. He loves the food and has many friends. Grandpa enjoys watching sports and having us visit him now and he lives close by.
Good food good people. The staff are always there for us
I toured the facility with my mother-in-law and was very impressed with the pricing and amenities. The staff was very pleasant and the residents all seemed happy and social during activities.
I love living at Kenmore Senior Living! I was hesitant at first but wished I had moved in years ago. I enjoy the activities and have made many friends. The food is great and the staff is excellent! I highly recommend this beautiful community.
Grandma and grandpa are very happy living at Kenmore Senior Living. Our family has peace of mind knowing they are safe and being well cared for.
I am very happy mother moved to Kenmore and is living in this beautiful community. She loves living close to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was excited to see everyone for Mother's Day!

The tour was late, but otherwise fine.
Good Tour
I had recently taken a tour of this community for my father. The first visit I went to the guy who took me around did an excellent job and had all the answers to my questions. When I had returned with my mother for a second visit I was not impressed with the lady who took us around. She did not seem to know very much and did not have the answers we had needed for my mothers questions. I also noticed while I was there the second time that the elevator was not working and the building seemed very
I had a tour of this community for my loved one and it was a pleasant experience. The staff where very kind to my loved one and I made sure to give us a detailed look at everything they had to offer as well as answer any questions we had for them. They did not have the availability that I needed for my father and I wanted a little bit of a smaller community for him to live in,
The main coordinator who does tours wasn't there the day we looked at the property in person. Overall, it was a positive experience and they answered our questions. I would recommend this community.
I toured this community for my parents. The staff were very nice helpful and answered all of the questions we had. The community was clean and the menu was appealing. They are a variety of activities offered. We recommend other families tour this community for the care of a loved one.
The care team is great, but the management is awful. They don't care about our loved ones in their care.
Everything for the most part was fine during our tour of this community. The staff was welcoming and made my dad and I feel comfortable during our visit, however my first impression of this place was nothing special. It was very bland and nothing truly stood out to my dad to make him want to make the move into this assisted living. Overall it was just not the right fit for my dad.
I chose this location for my Dad because of the friendly staff, care options, activities and accommodation to meet my needs. They were not worried about his care needs and his need to switch to Medicaid after a few years.
The staff is attentive and they respond well to the residents here. The facility and the rooms are always kept clean and smelling fresh. There are weekly trips to stores like Wal-Mart. Overall it has been a pleasant experience so far.
I would say that it has been a good experience for us. They are responsive to any issues we might have and they have made it comfortable for my loved one to move in. They have been very helpful for all of us.
The staff here is excellent. They are very good with the residents. The place is always clean and well kept. There are lots of activities to keep the residents happy and well adjusted. We like the fact that there is weekly transportation to stores.
Overall things seem to be going well with Brookdale Kenmore. The facility itself is very nice, and always well kept and clean, and the staff all seem very friendly. My loved one has settled in well, and really seems to enjoy it for the most part. However, there are a few things they could work on to really improve the experience. The first is that they only have a single washer and dryer that is shared by all of the residents and staff, so it can be hard to find a time to use it. In addition, it
This place is more like a nursing home. Maybe one or two independents. Management is totally indifferent; they kill you with kindness on the assessments, then after that, your loved one is all but abandoned--mostly. The recent acquisition of Brookdale by Kenmore means the company has a very tight budget and the building is horribly understaffed. Hardly anyone at the associate level speaks clean English. Caregivers are generally very nice, though, I can see they are not happy in their jobs becaus
Liked the director and all staff I met. Helpful. Ended up my mom was more comfortable with AFH.
They are great. They are caring for her. Her room is immaculate. The staff is really attentive. I would recommend this anytime. Brian the manager is always there. The nursing staff is amazing, both the day and the evening nursing staff.
My experience with Brookdale Kenmore has been a good one so far! They were very helpful throughout the whole touring and move-in process, and really put in a lot of effort working with us to make sure things would work out with the spend-down plan we needed to use. I haven't had a chance to visit often as I do not live close, but from what I saw when we toured it is a lovely place and the staff all seemed very friendly!
I think they are doing fine. I have no complaints about Brookdale whatsoever. The food looks good, and smells good. There is a little bit of a disconnect between how serious my loved ones condition is, and how the management responds. They have been good about working with us, if we need something. I think they could do a little more to be proactive with helping the residents to meet each other and socialize.
I recently moved both of my parents into Spring Estates. I am so impressed by the warmth and love they surround my parents with...not to mention the precise medication management. They give my parents their meds as their Drs. have prescribed and that has made a drastic improvement especially with my Dad as he used to self medicate. The food is excellent, better than I though it would be! There isn't another place I'd rather have my parents go to live and I'm so grateful to the staff at Sprin
It seems to be working out alright. In respect to that it is a memory care facility, dealing with residents who are having trouble, I think they keep it as clean as possible. They are very friendly and she is being taken care of, but it's still horribly expensive! I think the care services are good but since this is the first time she's been in a facility it's tough to say. My mom is difficult so they are doing the best that they can!
First of all, Justin is really awesome. He took me in to a private sitting room to discuss K's needs and medical history, which I really appreciated. We were able to go over their pricing structure and community before touring the facility. Their facility is spotless and very well-run!!! They have an age-in-place model with a secure memory care facility attached. They are seconds from a fire station/emergency response system. The rooms accommodate a queen- sized bed at best, which may pose
