Reviews for Aegis of Marymoor
Caring Staff, Premium Price
Aegis Living Marymoor earns strong praise for its warm, attentive staff who communicate proactively with families and create a tight-knit community atmosphere. Residents enjoy diverse activities (exercise, arts, book club, outings) and appreciate the caring environment, though the facility is notably expensive with a $30,000 community fee. A few reviewers note the building shows its age with smaller, less modern rooms, and one family found memory care wasn't the right fit for their loved one's level of engagement.
"You had me at hello". We knew this was the place for mom after touring multiple other eastside assisted living facilities. On the initial tour we were introduced to a warm and authentic staff. The tour took us to all the features you might see on other tours, but this place is unique including a secluded patio that is part landscaped garden and part party central and a historic 50's(?) era projector outside the movie theater. Mom moved in. She participates in exercise class every day, does ar
Aegis Marymoor is a five out of five! Right when you walk in the door you are greeted with smiling faces and interesting artwork. The residents of this community are happy to be here and it is apparent they are well taken care of. Thank you Aegis Living Marymoor!
September 2024, I was desperate to find a place for my wife of 19 years suffering from dementia. As a caregiver without any time to myself, a call came offering to help me! After three tries, I settled on Aegis Living at Marimore Redmond. I spent daily visits staying hours with her and realized after 3 months, she was isolated from others, a change was needed. A better environment provided to be an A.F.H. in January. Aegis has a beautiful facility, but it was not a good fit for [name removed]. B
but they haven't raised fees excessively so that is part of it. That do have a diverse menu and address individuals preferences and needs. Overall I am quite satisfied and would recommend Aegis at Marymoor
Writing on behalf of a nursing school. Our class had the opportunity to come to Aegis Marymoor for their first Older Adult clinical rotation. The students had a wonderful experience learning from such friendly and welcoming staff. While clinical rotations can be intimidating for some, all the students felt very comfortable and engaged when interacting with the residents--I attribute a lot of this to the encouraging staff. Special thanks to Peter, Mohamed, Nick, Karla, Rosaline, Alejandra, Milia,
Rachel @AegisMarymorRedmond has been absolutely fantastic. My father-in-law was faced with a challenging decision to put his wife with dementia into an assisted living facility, or not. Rachel's patient and comprehensive description of the process and what to consider was invaluable. Trust was built very quickly and the correct decision was made with confidence. World-class.
After my dad passed away, we had to move my mom into an assisted living facility. We instantly felt at home at Aegis Marymoor. The staff was so friendly and responsive. As my moms memory declined they kept in close contact with me to let me know what was going on and for us to decide together what were the best next steps to take to keep my mom happy and safe. In a difficult and stressful time for me and my family, they were so helpful and relieved me of some of the anxiety and stress I had for
I have not had a lot of experience with facilities but visited 5. Aegis at Marymoor seemed small and homey. The staff are all very friendly and interested in the residents. They try to customize activities when possible. I don’t have any concerns and my wife with dementia considers it her home after being there 3 months
We gave the activities a 3 but only because my dad didn't participate. Many nice options though. All of the above has contributing to making Aegis at Marymoor such a great experience. We would strongly recommend this community to anyone.
My Father-in-Law has been a resident of Aegis Living Marymoor for over a year. We are very appreciative of the quality care he receives from the outstanding staff who are friendly, kind, caring and compassionate. The facility, amenities and grounds are well maintained and clean from the Bistro, Game Room, Theater, Library, Activity Room and Patios. The Kitchen staff prepares excellent, quality meals. Daily activities keep resident active and in a group setting. One of our favorites is Pet Ther
We toured Aegis at Marymoor and the facility was beautiful, but so was the cost. The Activities Director was wonderful and kept the people going to all kinds of tours and activities. The Director at this facility talked me out of Memory Care for my loved one, saying she would be totally bored. I was so thankful that I went here. That helped me make a decision about where to move my loved one.
Very high scale. It reminds me of a cruise ship. It is a beautiful property and glitz and glam. It was way out of price range. They have like a literal movie theater. With a $30,000 community fee..
The caregivers seemed caring and attentive. My loved one really appreciates the caregivers. The one caution is that if you want to get a phone line put in for your loved one it could be difficult. It seems like this is an highly functional community.
This is an awesome and great place for your loved one. The staff are friendly and caring and work great with my loved one. They have activities like concerts, movies, bingo, puzzles and more for the residents to do to stay busy.
Aegis was more than what we wanted for the amentias and price for our loved one. The rooms aren't as spacious or modern as some other communities. The kitchenette is small. They have an older building. I thought it was unprofessional of the staff to try to get us to come to them, after we decided on another community. They offered to lower the buy in after they found out, and this made it unprofessional to me.

Aegis of Marymoor is a very nice facility and they take good care of my brother. We've been very pleased. We don't have any complaints so far. The food is pretty good. There are a lot of activities that people can get involved in. They have outings and a whole program going on. He is pretty out of it, so there are limited activities that he can do, but the people seemed pretty happy. They do a good job. The staff has been great, they're always right there, they check on him freque
My wife has been in Aegis of Marymoor for two weeks. I found it to be a very nice place, and she is doing very well there. The staff is very nice, very cooperative, and very helpful. The food is good. I'm very happy that we relocated her there. She's in the memory care section, where they have activities all day long. They have music therapy, which is excellent, and different word association and memory games. They have a great exercise program. It's fairly priced.
I'm a current resident of Aegis at Marymoor (Regency at Marymoor). I like the staff from the top to the least level. They are actually very caring people. The dining areas are very nice. With regards to food, it is more of a foreign food; I'm used to southern cooking. My room is quaint, but I do have my own shower. I also have a very small kitchenette, the capability for cooking is a microwave, and I have my little refrigerator.
My experience with this nursing home has been nothing but positive. Upon my first visit the staff was so welcoming and understanding of our situation. They took all measures possible to make sure our loved one would feel comfortable and homey at the facility. The staff all went above and beyond what I expected them to in helping my elderly friend adjust to the stay, even providing her with her favorite special cooked meals and ice cream for dessert. They even took her down to the salon to get he
