Reviews for Peters Creek Retirement Community

Caring Staff, Serious Care Gaps

Peters Creek receives overwhelmingly positive feedback for its caring, attentive staff who build genuine relationships with residents and families. Reviewers consistently praise the excellent food (described as "gourmet" and highly customizable), robust activities calendar, clean facilities, and strong communication. However, serious concerns emerge around medication management (missed doses, lack of qualified nursing leadership), inconsistent care coordination, billing disputes, accessibility issues in some rooms, and abrupt discharges after falls without clear explanations.

I went to tour Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory Care. The receptionist was very friendly and very encouraging. The gentleman was open to answering any questions and said, "Let me take you on a tour." He showed me where the craft room was. They played games there. They had paid attention to the things I said my sister was interested in when I spoke with the other gentleman on the phone a few days earlier. She likes adult coloring, puzzles, and playing games, and so

I toured Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory Care. They showed me around, but it's not for independent people. The community was nice. It was better than I thought. Unfortunately, they don't deal with the independent. It's not their priority. We walked around the grounds. They were nice. There was nothing bad about the place. The staff answered all my questions and showed me everything. It's not a humongous, large place, but it's average-sized.

We went to see Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory Care. I think it's excellent and has more room. It has a lot of staff, the building is wonderful, and everyone is helpful and very thorough about finding out what my brother needed. We saw all levels, but looked at memory care more and what that would entail. Then we saw the rest of the building. It's a little bit older, but it's very good. They've also just done a lot of updating and remodeling. The dining

I toured Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory Care. It was a nice facility and was comparable to the other facility. It was probably a little bit of an older building, but the director there said they had gone in four or five years ago and had renovated everything. The only drawback I had to it was that it was off of a very busy street. The rooms were similar to those in the other facility but not quite as nice. They were about the same rate, maybe a little cheaper, but they w

I liked Peters Creek Retirement Center better than the other one, the setup, the rooms, and everything. Price-wise, it's kind of questionable right now, but if I were to choose a place, I like that one better of the two. It was very hard to find. It was tucked up on top of a hill, so the GPS didn't take me directly. It kind of had to reroute to get me there, but I did find it, and the lady receptionist was waiting for me, and she was very excited. I liked that part of it. She was very

I am truly thankful for the team at Peters Creek in Redmond! Top to bottom, the staff have been overwhelmingly helpful, kind and understanding during the transition into Assisted living for my mom. Carissa and Shawn took time to learn about my mom and her beloved dog and offered ideas about how to help with her transition, making them feel welcomed and even catered to, with special treats and activities. Since my mom has moved in, she's been acclimating well into the Peters Creek community, enjo

My mom has turned into a new person since moving into Peters Creek. There are so many activities and enrichment opportunities residents can choose from, she's busier than me! I love getting updates on her daily adventures-whether it be dancing, games, visiting with local volunteers, doing crafts, or going out on weekly outings. There are too many things to list here - mom is busy and always smiling now. She found a new zest for life The staff is very caring and the pride themselves on buildi

Peters Creek is a lovely community. Wonderful and caring staff, great food and fun things to do. I would highly recommend stopping by for a visit. Live entertainment every week, shopping and regular volunteer visits from our local high school!

We had a wonderful visit to Peters Creek. From the warm, personal greeting with our names on a Welcome sign, to introductions to the chef, physical therapist and activities coordinator, to tours of various rooms and suite options, every minute was well spent. We were VERY favorably impressed with the quality of our lunch, and Shawn took the time to answer our many questions fully and honestly. We are convinced Peters Creek would be the best choice for us.

I have had the opportunities of visiting Peters Creek and working with the staff there to provide care for the residents. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained. There is adequate parking for guests and families alike. It has a range of activities that keep the residents engaged and active. Starting from the top - Carissa (ED) is one of the most dedicated and compassionate professional I have ever encountered. She is always looking for ways to ensure the well being and happiness of the

My sister were put in a dark corner room. She was not allowed to use her walker, as Peter's Creek had not assessed her ability with it. She was given a button on a cord to press for help. Even though we'd told them several times that because her hands are weak that she couldn't press the button (even one of their employees had difficulty with it), they provided no other means for her to ask for help. She could not get into the bathroom because the wheelchair couldn't get through the door. T

The staff is wonderful. I definitely recommend Peters Creek.

My dad was previously a resident at Peters Creek Retirement and Assisted Living. The activities staff and front desk are great (a couple real gems actually, but they have no authority). They let go a great RN who had too much ethics and a spine for one of the higher ups. They replaced her with someone whose business card had NO credentials noted. I couldn't find her under either RN or LPN in the State registry and she is 'Director of Nursing'. She is very meek. Also: after my dad had been gone

David JMay 3, 2024

I can only report all of the staff (office, kitchen, househould) were all very kind. My father only had warm words for their attention. It is pricey, but the facility provided so much. Plus, the peace of mind for family knowing their lived one is safe.

AnonymousMarch 13, 2024

In the beginning the then director made the whole process easy she was amazing with the overall transition process as well as had an open door policy where I could contact her with anything and she would frequently check on things see how things were. The direct care team in the unit my Grandpa was in I only got to know the crew in the morning, [names removed] were amazing with every person in that unit, the night team I didn’t get to know too well. I toured Peters Creek Retirement Assisted Living & Memory Care. My son is going to have surgery and he needs care for the first week or so. He has visited the establishment, and he found it very friendly and clean, and he feels that he will be comfortable there. I was looking for a short stay and I found that they were reasonably helpful in arranging to have him stay for two weeks minimum. Most places wanted a month or longer and provided that everything goes well, I didn't feel that he

My father is satisfied living there, the staff really care and he is safe there. He's in memory care. I picked this community, because it was a good trade off between care and cost.

AnonymousOctober 13, 2023

I was able to have an in person tour with Peters Creek and I found the tour experience overall to be informative and pleasant and nice. However, this community could not accommodate my future needs which was why I did not select them.

DebbieSeptember 10, 2023

The best part about Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory Care was their bedrooms. They looked more like a traditional apartment. The square footage was bigger. They had a dining room and an outdoor space. For us, the location was just not ideal, and it kind of felt more like a nursing home when we walked in there in comparison to another facility I've been to. The staff were very friendly.

DavidAugust 25, 2023

Peters Creek Retirement looked good. My stepmom has not seen the room yet, but I'm sure she'll like it. There's a view out the window that goes out to a lot of trees. It's kind of a natural wild look in the backyard. I think she'll enjoy that. As far as all the amenities are concerned, they have the same thing. There are choices for different types of alternative meals besides whatever is scheduled. The staff member who helped with the tour was friendly, helpful, knowled

I was able to tour Peters Creek Retirement. It's pretty old, and it needs to be updated. The grounds were nice. Some of the apartments were getting updated and the rest needed to be updated. The updated ones were very nice. The staff were super nice, very knowledgeable, and helpful. They have a new manager, she's great, but she is just starting to set activities up and everything. A few of the residents were watching TV, and that's all I observed. They have a very nice patio for s

I had a full tour of Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory Care. I met with Emily, and she was very, very nice. I met some of the caretakers. I saw the living conditions and they looked very nice. It was very clean and accommodating. The person that took me around was very attentive. She engaged with future clients. She was understanding and accommodating. She was very professional and very caring. It looked new, and it looked clean. It was very nice inside. I didn't see any

Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory Care said they needed to update the place and remodel it a bit. The outside was all mossy and needed a paint job. It felt closed in and the lighting wasn't that great, so you didn't feel like there was space in there. It didn't seem like there were many employees there either. I probably met only about three or four of them. I just wasn't very impressed with it. The place seemed run down, but the people there were clean a

I would not recommend Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory. The facility was outdated. The grounds were not very well kept. There were folks smoking outside of the front door. The residents weren't engaging, and I didn't see much activity going on. The coordinator, the person who received me, wasn't very welcoming.

ShawnMarch 14, 2023

Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory Care was nice. All the staff we interacted with was nice. The lady that did the tour was awesome. It's just an older facility. It could use some updating, but other than that, it was clean. They had some units, called studio alcoves, that were a little bit bigger kind of studios.

anonymousMarch 9, 2023

It's not fancy, but it's a good place as far as I can tell. There has been shifting of staff at the top which is a warning flag for me. Housekeepers that do my loved one's room are pure gold! The overall experience is good except for the hideous medication policies, which I think are guided by the state.

AmySeptember 19, 2022

Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory Care is exceptional. They genuinely care and they do a really nice job of hiring great care providers for my mom and their other residents. The executive director, Brandie, is compassionate, empathetic, and really talented in the space of assisted living and memory care. I also appreciated how quickly she was able to assess my mom while she was still in the hospital, so we could avoid my mom moving twice. They offered what many others could n

Peters Creek Retirement Assisted Living & Memory Care was well located. It had all the things you need as far as food service and medications. It was clean. The staff during the tour was very helpful, and she was a problem solver. Any issues that my father-in-law had, she would have taken care of.

KarenJune 24, 2022

I love the community. They are so kind and gentle with the residents. The staff try to keep the residents busy with activities and with new activities on a regular basis. The staff are happy. I couldn't be happier that my loved one is here. My loved one loves the meals that are provided. The staff will assist the residents that need assistance with feeding, or cutting the food. They are kind and gentle during this process. The communication with the staff is great, and they keep us upd

I toured Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory Care for my dad and I wouldn't recommend it. It was an old building and had a lot of musty smells. The bathrooms for the residents' rooms were very tiny. It seemed happy, though, and the people there seemed happy. It is just the facility. The grounds were not well-kept. The lawn was overgrown. I wasn't impressed. The staff was nice, though. The dining area was small for the number of residents. They could improve on

My dad will be moving into Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory Care. I worked with the sales and marketing director, and she was very nice and helpful. It's not a fancy place, but it's very clean. All the people I met were very friendly. It has a calm and cheerful atmosphere. The room that my dad is going to is large and has a nice little kitchen.

Anonymous March 25, 2022

This was our second choice. They did bad mouth other facilities which was a huge turn off for us.

GeraldMarch 20, 2022

Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living & Memory Care seemed like a good place. It seemed OK. The staff seemed nice. It all seemed good, but there wasn't quite a large enough room for my mom. It seemed like they followed mask-wearing protocols, so it looked like they were going by Washington rules. Cleanliness and upkeep seemed pretty good, above average.

Laura LMarch 10, 2022

This communities location was far out and there was nothing like shopping or anything close. This community was more good for scenic views and it was more expensive.

anonymousMarch 2, 2022

The staff are very friendly. [name removed] especially is very helpful. All staff is very caring and also user friendly as far as you want or need done. The rooms are a very nice size, if you want you are able to get one with a full kitchen. It is perfect size for one person. It is more of a personal community type interaction which is something we liked. I would absolutely recommend them to others.

DavidNovember 12, 2021

So far so good. My friend has been quite pleased. The support has been excellent on all levels, not only in the original interaction with the marketing side that went really well, but also with the accounting side. Interaction with them has been great. They've been really good about calling back in a timely manner. And the front desk staff is also very pleasant and caring. My friend says the food is average, but she loves the activities.

Good community, not memory care only.

JoyceSeptember 12, 2021

I went to Peters Creek Retirement, Assisted Living and Memory Care. They were a quieter, smaller community. My sister also came on that tour. She was impressed because the parking was very close to the front door. She's handicapped, so it was a very short walk into the building and into the main area. The room that we selected for my mom was right next to the office. Parking was very close to the entrance. That was one of the main things that sold her on the community is her access. The p

The location was very nice, and it was very clean. But the gal that was trying to show us around was very distracted and had a whole bunch of other stuff happening. It was a smaller facility than some of the others we looked at, which was nice. But we chose a place that some of our other family members had lived years back.

DarylMarch 18, 2021

I'm living in Peters Creek. It's pretty good. We have a lot of vacancies. The food is not too good. They had a change in the kitchen, so it has kind of gone downhill. The staff is really good. They have bingo, trivia, television programs, and singing.

KatherineNovember 17, 2020

Peters Creek Retirement and Assisted Living is a nice place to live. The friendliness is a standout to me. The room was ok, and it was a private room for my loved one. The nursing staff and aides were great. The food was good for my loved one.

Clay LanumNovember 15, 2020

I like the staff and residents because they are friendly and helpful. The care team is diversified of men and women. My wife likes that a man can assist with my care needs. LOL! The food is tasty. The activities are enjoyable. The activities are interesting because they have topics I like, such as men's club and trivia.

Paula LanumNovember 15, 2020

I like people who live and work here because they are friendly. I find that the staff is responsible and dependable. The residents are friendly, interesting and willing to share. The food is very good. The care my husband receives is great and the activities are super!

Tom BowenNovember 15, 2020

I like the people, the delicious food, cleanliness, and the caring staff. Peters Creek has great exercise with great music. We also have fun cooking classes and sport talks. I like how we sit down and watch football, like a family.

Beverly FredericksNovember 15, 2020

This is a nice place to be. The staff feels like my family. If I need something they will talk to me and offer help. The food is really good. The kitchen offers special diet for me as I can only eat fish or chicken. I appreciate that.

Barbara PooleNovember 15, 2020

The aids are on time, considerate and helpful. My room has a beautiful view of the trees. I like the times the meals are served and the special preparation. Activities are plentiful for each person's liking but I especially enjoy good old-fashioned classic Bingo. The residents are really nice at Peters Creek.

Katie ColeNovember 15, 2020

Peters Creek has the best helpers and food. Two helpers are very kind. Making sure my life is easier at such a hard time. The food is delicious and tasty. I never get bored and I love the variety. Activities are fun and challenging, keeping my mind Sharp!

Richard MarriotNovember 15, 2020

As long as I'm here, I love it. I have no problems here as I am well cared for. Everyone here is nice. My needs are taken care of. My room on 3rd floor facing west I get to see a beautiful sunset each day. The people that work here Make each day interesting and fun.

Louis HaighNovember 15, 2020

My room is very comfortable with a view of beautiful tall trees. The staff is helpful, fun and eager to assist me if I need anything. I like the food sometimes because I'm picky. That is what my kids tell me. I enjoyed the exercise classes daily. The place overall is friendly and clean.

My mom has lived at Peters Creek for almost a year, first in assisted living and currently in memory care. In both locations the staff have been wonderful, very attentive and responsive, and there are lots of activities and opportunities for social engagement. The facilities are very clean and well maintained and the food is pretty good.

My mother moved to memory care about 3 months ago. Her care is very good; the staff are attentive and responsive to her needs and my questions/concerns. There are daily activities that she is encouraged/supported in participating in such as art and music, and she gets 3 good meals a day. Her studio apartment is spacious and clean, and she is always well groomed and in clean clothes when I see her.

My mother in law lives here in memory care. She is happy, her room is nice, she says the food & coffee are great! (Coffee is a sticking point, mom loves *good* coffee!) We are extremely pleased that we found Peters Creek. We are thrilled with the care she receives. The nurse and physical therapist keep us informed of her progress. The staff are kind, helpful and attentive. Also Peters Creek is upfront and honest about what costs will be, unlike some assisted living facilities we have unfortu

Since the staff has been at Peters Creek for a long time, you could tell that it is a very stable and good place. They are very nice people, and they're very stable. Because of this, I know that thes residents are getting good care. I worked in Human Resources for years, so I know when people are happy where they're working. The chef was fabulous because he cooks very good. The place was very nice and very clean, but it wasn't as large as others. They did show me a 1-bedroom apart

We liked this community very much. I liked the attitude of the staff and the residents. The rooms were very nice however none of them were private he would have had to share a room. The memory care was on the lower level which almost gave it a basement feel to it and that I did not like. I found [Removed] to have been very nice to talk to and extremely helpful.

My tour of this facility went just fine! It looked very nice and the staff were very friendly and willing to answer my questions. I would have had no problem placing my loved ones here.

This is a wonderful facility. It is a smaller community with wonderful food, friendly and attentive staff and engaging residents. It had the most "family" feel of all the facilities I toured (about 6 in all). They have lots of activities and outings for their residents. This was a top choice for our family but ultimately we chose a different facility based on cost and layout of the apartment. I would not hesitate to move my loved ones here. Had a great visit with Chris and the staff @ Peters creek. Facility was warm and staff very friendly. 1 bedroom are spacious, closets are a little small, porches are a nice addition. Corner suites are nice with the adjacent windows. Calendar was full of activities and kitchen smelled great, wish I had stopped for lunch.

So far I am happy with the care that my mom is receiving at Peters Creek. The staff are doing a good job keeping the community clean and they communicate well with me. As far as I know, my mom likes the meals that are served. I've had dinner there a couple times and the food is very good. My mom is in the memory care unit and they go on a few well-supervised outings through out the week along with the general retirement/assisted living population. Facility pleasant and well-cared-for. Several egress points to outside world that are not monitored. Narrow hallways to navigate with a walker, especially if two persons are trying to pass each other in the hall.

I had an appointment to get a tour of this community. When i arrived i was waiting a good 10 minutes before someone acknowledge me. When the receptionist finally noticed me i told her i had an appointment and she said she had nothing on her schedule with an appointment. She tried to give me a tour but i didn't want to continue since the beginning it was a bad experience. Staff were also passing next to me and they didn't say anything.

So far everything is working out pretty well for my father in law here. The community looks outstanding, they do a very good job with keeping everything well maintained. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I really like the activities, he has tired a few of them. The meals are great, he is satisfied. Overall he is safe and I would recommend this community.

Our family member enjoys Peters Creek and the staff are very helpful although they could do with another RN on staff. (not PN) The entertainment is good, the food is fantastic and we often go up for lunch!

I could not possibly express how grateful we are for Peters Creek and it's wonderful staff . Our mother was a resident in the memory care facility . The genuine care and love they showed not only for our mother but also for us was amazing . The staff is terrific. I never encountered anyone there that did not have mom's best interest at heart . I highly recommend Peters Creek to anyone especially if they are in need of a memory care facility . I gIve five stars in all departments of the facility

I moved my 93 year old mother into Peters Creek on June 1st, approximately 3 weeks ago. I am thrilled with how quickly mom has made a positive adjustment to this community. The only issues I have are minor...we are paying to have her laundry done and for someone to supervise her daily eye drops. Since her laundry is only a few items a week, I'm not sure these services are worth $400 a month. However, otherwise, I am very satisfied. The staff at Peters Creek are always friendly, cheerful

Caring0920June 30, 2014

Peters Creek was pretty high on the list. It is a large facility with a lot of parking. It is well-maintained and fairly new. They were well-organized and had a lot of staff. It was an excellent facility except that my mother required a little higher level of soft food and they couldn't handle that level of food. They wouldn't be able to handle her requirements for the food consistency (i.e., pureed food).

SherrylNovember 10, 2013

My sister and I toured this community and then we brought our parents to see it and they fell in love with the apt. with a patio. Dad can sit out there and see the trees and the creek that runs through there. They have been there for a week now.

Lu MeinerJuly 22, 2013

They seem good. I think my mom will be needing more care but they've been in touch with people and trying to meet their needs. I'm a little worried about rating the value because we haven't gotten our bill with the extra care so we don't know what the charge will be. The activites aren't applicable to us because my dad doesn't want to know anybody else and my mother isn't functional enough to enjoy any of the actvities. It's a blue collar atmosphere and the staff is so helpful to the extended

I'm a resident here and they are really a lot of complaints in here. And they are not caring people. The food was not very tasteful. The healthcare people were accommodating though. They are available 24/7. I love the caregivers, they are pretty nice. I can go out to shower every morning, just call them and they will prepare everything, and even help me out but I would not that recommend this place to other people.
