My sister with Down Syndrome and Dementia enjoyed two wonderful years at Longhouse Adult Family Home in Northgate. She moved in during COVID in early 2021 because I was seeking a place that I believed could provide consistent, reliable (and warm and friendly) care for her. Longhouse delivered. Longhouse Northgate is providing a safe and loving home for my dad. Although we wish he was still able to live independently with my mom, we are comforted in knowing that the care he receives at Longhouse is exceptional. The owner and executive director are very receptive to guidance about how to provide my mom with good quality of life. Caregivers are warm, good-humored and caring. Nurses are compassionate, experienced and good at balancing safety and other aspects of well-being. The house is clean and homey and the grounds provide relaxing nature.
