Reviews for Aegis Living Ballard
Caring Staff, Unmet Promises
Aegis Ballard earns consistent praise for its caring, attentive staff who know residents by name and provide professional, responsive care that gives families peace of mind. The facility is notably clean with excellent food in the main dining room, robust daily activities, and strong safety protocols. However, some families report frustrations with oversold amenities (bar and beauty salon rarely open, no transport van despite promises), inconsistencies between independent living and memory care meal quality, high staff turnover affecting continuity of care, and management issues including unresponsiveness to maintenance requests and potential profit-over-people priorities.
Why are you blowing leaves everyday from one corner from 7-9 in the morning !!!!!!!!!!!! Even in the rain !!!! Too much noise in a quiet Neighborhood.
My responses are mostly related to the Memory Care (MC) unit. My sister is always well groomed and dressed in clean clothes. I appreciate being able to get her mani-pedis and hair cuts at the facility. That being said, the amenities at Aegis Ballard were oversold. The beauty shop is rarely open and you must schedule appointments well in advance. Similarly, the facility bar was promoted as having excellent prices for beer, wine and well drinks - making it an excellent place to socialize with frie
The management at Aegis Living Ballard is a complete disappointment. Beneath the fancy decor and luxury branding lies a deeply broken system. The leadership is disorganized, unresponsive, and clearly more focused on profit than people — both residents and staff. Workers are overworked, underpaid, and undervalued, which directly affects the quality of care residents receive. It feels like a shiny trap designed to impress families while quietly cutting corners behind the scenes. If you care about
When it comes to the activities, they neeed excursions from the facility like to plays, museums, etc. The food was pretty good as well, considering they have to cater to a wide variety of tastes. It is one of the smaller Aegises and they really get to know the residents well, even the ones who are only there for respite, which was really great. My mom isn't ready to permanently move to assisted living, but she really liked that aspect of it there. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. I apprec
My father spent 10 months at Aegis of Ballard. Let me tell you that he was a very introverted man, and had mild dementia along with mobility challenges. The staff was like an extended family to me. The heavy burden they helped me carry is something I am so grateful for. My dad felt safe and well cared for. They helped navigate his medical care and updated me regularly. It's always scary moving your lived one in a facility and I was probably more scared than most and I am glad I made the deci
What really stands out about Aegis is the sense of joy and dignity they bring to everyday life. Whether it's the engaging activities, delicious meals, or just the warm smiles from team members, Aegis creates an environment where residents truly thrive. We couldn’t be more grateful for the love and support they show every single day. Highly recommended!
Recently toured the facilities here and wow, talk about beautiful! Plus their amenities were top of the line!
My mom has been in Aegis Ballard since June of 2024. I can't even believe how wonderful this company - and this location in particular - is. I've had more than my share of experience with assisted living and senior living, and Aegis Ballard is in a tier of its own. I feel so lucky we found Aegis when we did.
In the five months since my mother and her husband began their independent living experience at Aegis Ballard, have they flourished socially and emotionally. We feel the staff has become a part of our extended family, and a trusted circle of support that has provided us peace of mind. As the needs of my mom and her husband change, I feel so at-peace knowing there is a staff of caregivers who will rise to meet those needs. The staff, every one of whom has demonstrated a welcoming spirit and genu
My husband has Alzheimer’s and Aegis Ballard has been a godsend for us. It is a happy place where the staff is warm and caring. It is a positive place in our lives and it makes this journey we are on a lot less difficult.
My mom has always been a very self-determined, headstrong, person. Now, at 88 years old, she's had to make some very difficult adjustments to her lifelong independence and lifestyle. Finding a suitable match for long-term care was challenging for our family. Luckily, we found Aegis Living on Market Street in Ballard as a residence and care facility. Aegis Living is not only top-notch in every aspect of senior care but also gives complete reassurance to our family that all of her needs and medica
My sister is the 3rd resident in the newly opened Memory Care in Aegis Living Ballard. The facility is beautiful, the staff are amazing, and the food is delicious. If your loved one needs Memory Care services, I highly recommend Ballard Aegis. ??
I went to Aegis Living Ballard. The place was fabulous. It's like living in a hotel. The staff was exceptionally wonderful. They were friendly. They came to us, introduced themselves, told us where they worked, and what they did. The dining area was beautiful. Their activities look like a lot of fun. Everybody looked like they were doing things, and that's what my husband needs. The facility is gorgeous.
