Reviews for Aegis Living Greenwood

Caring Staff, Troubling Oversight

Reviews reveal a facility with significant inconsistency in management and care quality. Positive feedback highlights genuinely caring staff, particularly in memory care, with beautiful facilities and good amenities like outdoor spaces and activities. However, multiple families report serious concerns about dramatic cost increases (75% over three years via a 'care point' system), inadequate staffing especially on weekends/evenings, inconsistent hygiene care (residents found soiled, unshaven), and deteriorating oversight after key management transfers. Food quality receives consistent criticism.

My dad is living here for a year now and I am so appreciative of how well he is taken care of. When we eat with him in the dining room, I see the care that the servers take with each person to slow down to their speed and get them why they want to eat. All of the concierges har been so helpful with whatever I need. The nursing staff has guided me through all the changes at each stage and done so many little and big things to keep dad happy and healthy. And then, the life enrichment gals… they do

My Aunt has been at Aegis Living Greenwood for three years. The experience has not been positive. The major problem is that Aegis is a for profit enterprise run by an owner who wants to maximize his profits. This is done at the expense of senior residents and their families who feel trapped. When our aunt entered the facility her monthly invoice was about $[removed]. Due to inflation and a "care point" system imposed by Aegis, her current invoice is now over $[removed] per month. Yes, there ha

My father was here almost 2 years. He moved from AL to memory care/LN. Initially, the general manager, RN & lead in LN were visible and engaged with residents & family. Two of these three key positions were transferred to other Aegis properties that needed "help." Thankfully, Andrew (the RN) returned to the Greenwood property when the other two transferred. This is when quality of day-to-day care dropped. The replacement manager & LN lead were rarely seen out of their offices. They did not retu

You can tell the little things matter here. Having both onsite nurses and a physical therapy center takes away some of the stress I feel about moving out of my own house.

The staff were very friendly at the tour, and pets are allowed. The walking paths are great. I haven't seen these details in other communities. Good tour experience.

I have been researching assisted living communities in the Seattle area for my dad. He has lived alone since my mom died and besides being lonely, he has been needing more help than i can provide with a full time job. Location is a big deal for me given my job and family and being able to visit routinely. I went to Aegis Living in Greenwood with basic expectations, like probably seeing the same stuff as Merrill or the others I've toured. Aegis staff was really easy to get info from and let me se

Like a Prison, don't believe marketing. Not transparent and doesn't even give 10 days before allowing for adjustment. Filed DSHS and APS complaint. Almost all of these places are just a scam. Pretty sad. Unethical.

The staff in the memory care unit was as caring as any staff could be,. They took my dad on trips as long as he was able. But don't think that you can leave all the care of your loved one up to any staff. Visit your loved one often. Also all memory care places are more than willing to let you take your loved one out on any kind of trips. You can take your loved one out all day. So don't think you are just locking your loved one away, and they can never get out. You Can take them out, you just ha

My mother-in-law lived to over 100. In that time, and as her needs changed, she was in several different facilities. The best by far was Aegis Greenwood; it was OUR favorite, and it was HER favorite. We all appreciated the kindness and attention she received. She was not an easy patient to deal with, but the staff were endlessly patient and understanding. We were kept informed, but they were able to deal with any difficulties that arose. It was obvious that the staff genuinely enjoyed worki

Just walking along and noticed the little house was gone. Demolished in the morning before 8 am. Quick work. Not even break time yet!

On the positive side: All of the staff that is there is very dedicated and good at what they do. They treated my dad outstandingly and he loves all of the attention that he has gotten from them. Management has been easy to work with and straight forward. On the negative side: The food is not good at all. There are some time periods where they seem to be understaffed - particularly the weekends and evening hours. I know that it is a really hard job and the people they hire are great, there just

My daughter and I were quite pleased our whole experience at Aegis of Greenwood and would recommend it to other families. The facility is lovely and there is an outside area in good weather. The staff are caring and friendly and easy to talk with about the patient. They listen to any concerns I have. I have access to all the management team members and that is comforting. Also, it is easy to have a meal with my husband and the staff helped me when I planned a birthday surprise for my husban

My mom moved to Aegis Greenwood after we had an unfortunate experience at another memory care facility. The management and staff are exceptional - from the warm welcome they gave Mom, to the prompt, professional, and supportive care they provide each day. There are activities for any personality and the meals are fresh and delicious. The facility is pristine and well-appointed. I can finally breathe easier knowing that she's getting the very best care and living the safe, active life that she so

Wonderful community! Aegis of GW provides high quality care towards the residents. The care team goes above and beyond to accomplish both resident and family satisfaction. All staff members enjoy providing care and catering to the residents. Each department takes their work with pride which is one of the greatest qualities a community can have. I’m beyond thrilled and happy to be part of this outstanding community.

Beautiful, clean, well-staffed facility. The open house was amazing, the chef and the GM and ownership is top notch, highly recommend.
