Awesome place to fine job assisting living and memory care
My mother lived in Aegis - Laurelhurst on the memory care floor for the last four months of her life. She was 100 years old with significant memory loss, visual, and hearing challenges, but was always treated with love and respect. I, her daughter, managed her care and spent a lot of time in the facility. I was more than pleased with the warm, positive atmosphere at Aegis. Staff accompanied her on several ambulance rides to the hospital and waited for me to arrive before they left. Even the day
I was visiting for an event and the food being served was outside of my dietary restrictions and I just opted for just an offered side and the chef (Tyler) noticed and worked with the waiter (Dune) to make sure I got a fantastic meal inside of my dietary restrictions and were also so discrete about it so I didn’t feel embarrassed or shy in front of my new partners family. I moved my uncle for PA to Aegis Laurelhurst so that he could be close to us. It was the best decision for our family. The staff has been gracious and kind and caring. It has been a big shift for my uncle who has lived by himself for 65 years. All the staff know his name, address him by his name and communicate with him and us in a wonderful manner that shows that what they do is a passion. I should have written this review months ago, but I find myself doing it now because of the unwavering kindness, compassion, and respect that the entire staff at Aegis has shown our dad since he became a resident. From the very beginning, they have cared for him with grace, patience, and a genuine warmth that has made all the difference.
