Reviews for Fred Lind Manor
Warm Community, Past Care Concerns
Fred Lind Manor earns consistent praise for its warm staff, community atmosphere, excellent food (especially holiday meals and the salad bar), and appealing urban location. However, one detailed 2017 review raises serious concerns about understaffing, medication errors, inadequate supervision, and poor communication from management. More recent reviews (2019-2024) reflect consistently positive experiences with attentive care and a happy community vibe, suggesting potential improvements since earlier issues.

Thanksgiving Dinner was spectacular at Fred Lind this year! 10/10 for deliciousness, decor, and friendliness! What a treat for Mom, me, and all the guests. The room was Festive, the food Terrific, and the Wonderful staff went out of their way to give us all a down-home feeling of being an extended family. Thank you all for a terrific holiday experience!
At Fred Lind Manor's recent 80th Anniversary Celebration party, I very much enjoyed the wonderful hors d'oerves and drinks as well as the interesting and informative presentations. However, the piece de resistance was a one-bedroom apartment I got to see during the following tour! It would be absolutely perfect, IF I were ready to move. Wisely or unwisely, I'm not ready yet, so someone who is will be extremely fortunate to get the apartment that's right next to the short hall leading to the
I love this community! The staff is always kind and helpful and the vibe is happy. Their salon is adorable and my company comes there for some in home healthcare. Asa is a reliable, thoughtful and get-things-done kind of leader. I recommend this community if you are looking for a nice independent living place to be with good, kind people surrounding you.

The Executive director is very kind and professional. Her husband is the head chef and is one of those people that can make anyone feel comfortable. Great place but has limited parking.
They use a lawn care service that uses leaf blowers incessantly. It's unnecessary and a nuisance in an otherwise peaceful neighborhood.
Fred Lind is a pleasant part of the neighborhood but a little like a mystery. This changed when they offered a dog celebration out on their cool (especially on a hot day) patio for all the neighbor dogs and respective owners to stop by to say hi and partake in party events. Really great to meet some of the residents and staff making such a sweet effort to connect with the community.
Five Star everything. Awesome place for Mom and other relatives that love the location and amenities. Activities are fun for elderly and the dining is the best.
My mother is a resident at Fred Lind Manor. They take wonderful care of her. I visit from Pittsburgh often and I stay with her for an approx week. Everything she needs is provided. I would recommend Fred Lind Manor to anyone who needs their care. The staff and nurses are available as needed. The food is not that bad. Mom and I especially love the salad bar. Her appartment is lovely. I'm excited to visit in July for her birthday again. We spend quality time together. Thank you for reading my com
Oops, I rewrote this because my previous review disappeared for a while and I LOVE this community! Truly feels like a warm, welcoming family. Small yet all the amenities with the beautiful new remodel! Most importantly is the caliber and commitment of the care staff. Definite 5 star.

Poor staffing especially the CNA, they should fire that scheduler she doesnt know what she is doing
Depressing environment. Food is repetitive and unimaginative. Building has no character and is disintegrating. Residents need a lot of assistance but nursing staff is sparse. Dining room is choked with wheelchairs and walkers. Elevators are antiques. They are unresponsive and scarey.
Run by greedy, careless administrators that cut corners,[removed] FL is run on the cheap: frazzled CNAs who staff the desk, help residents, do laundry, administer medication, serve meals and generally run the show with very little oversight. Many are immigrants doing the most difficult work for little pay. There's an on-site nurse, [name removed] (I'll get to him, later) and he's the only supervising health professional on site. He's there M-F from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Should you even utter
Positives: * Neighborhood location; building in good shape * Facility/ rooms small, homey-feel * Flexible eating schedule Negatives: * Must buy one meal a day * Resident's did not seem to have personal relationship with staff; lact of name interaction [removed] Consider visiting again with Mom in Sept./ Oct.
Love the staff I met and the location is perfect for me. Director was delightful and very helpful with information on the non-profit option compared to the larger chain options. The rooms and amenity spaces were not as nice as some other spaces, but the location is urban so there is not a lot of room to grow. The room prices are the lowest I have seen.
This is the place for Mom.
I and my sisters are totally preoccupied with our jobs, so we decided to place Mom in a nursing home. It was really heartbreaking, but we don’t have the choice. Glad that I found this Assisted Living – Fred Lind Manor online. It was way better than nursing homes! We went to Fred Lind Manor to check out the place. Well it was ok. It’s wonderful, but I cannot be happy that time, because I know my Mom hates us for leaving her. After a couple of weeks, my Mom told me that Fred Lind Manor is a huge fa
