Reviews for Ida Culver House Ravenna
Caring Staff, Aging Facility
Ida Culver House Ravenna earns praise for its exceptionally warm and caring staff, excellent food, engaging activities, and strong communication with families. Multiple reviewers highlight smooth transitions between care levels and staff going above and beyond. However, concerns emerge about understaffing issues affecting caregiver workload and care quality, low staff wages contributing to turnover, and an aging building that some found dated (though renovation was mentioned). Some reviewers noted high costs and isolated incidents of declining food quality or aggressive management during director transitions.

Excellent food, very friendly and caring staff, many activities. The grounds are lovely. The building shows its age but is going to be replaced soon. Based on my father's experience, I would recommend Ida Culver House Ravenna to others looking.
Great place for elderly living
Terrible. Just terrible
My mother's memory issues led us to choose this retirement home, and we're incredibly grateful for the outstanding care she receives here. Liz and Sarah, the directors, have been exceptional, creating a warm and welcoming environment. The staff, from nurses to aides, treat residents like family, offering patience and support. The facility is well-maintained, with engaging activities. Open communication with the staff and management has been invaluable. This retirement home provides a lifeline fo
I do know of the facility itself, but it appears very clean and the residents I saw were happy. I go to the hair salon. Lisamarie Hair Designs is an excellent salon.

The residents were lovable. MANAGEMENT not understanding the CAREGIVERS and being short staff most of the time leads to increase the load of work for the caregivers and this results delivering poor quality of care to the residents specially for AL RESIDENTS the management should do better in this situation. looowwww payment (salery) is the other thing that need attention.
I am consistently impressed with the thoughtfulness of this company. They are committed to serving seniors in a way that most aren't. Oftentimes, senior living is seen as another version of real estate - but not with this team. They value each resident and all of the family members. It's wonderful to know that such intentional support and care are provided to people who choose to make this their home. I'm too young to live there, otherwise, I'd move it today!
The staff over at Ravenna are extremely friendly and welcoming! They create a warm environment that truly portrays the heart and would of the Era Living experience.
Nice, seemed a little dated, nice area but right on a busy street, still pretty good walkability
Ida Kulver House Ravenna has been a remarkable community to work with. From Katrina the director, to Emily in the wellness center the team are true stars! The communcation has been great and the level of care they show towards the residents is truly motivating. Keep it up!
I (we -- my son too) fell in love with Ravenna - cosy, comfortable and wonderfully situated. It is now our first choice. Waiting tohear about waiver of community fee.
Enjoyed the tour given to us by [Remoed] and her assistant. [Removed] took us on part of the tour. We felt the area was a little more "city lifestyle" than we were looking for. Also, Rental amount was rather higher than we could afford.
Professional and helpful Employees
Ida Culver Ravenna has the feel of a neighborhood community. A lot of the residents have been living in the area their whole lives and have family close by. That is not to say they aren't welcoming to new people. They are. The lobby is always busy with residents and visitors. The activities are the best I have seen anywhere. The staff is very caring and helpful. My Father started out Independent and progressed to Assisted Living. The staff helped the transition go smoothly and made sure
Not the worst, but not great. They got a new director, and she really turned us off, she was quite aggressive. In the beginning we loved the staff, but they had a huge turnover. Elderly people don't do well with change. They aren't very accommodating. There was a lip in the shower that was difficult. They had a mini fridge, but it was on the floor in the closet. It's very old, and needs to be updated, and the newer half is pretty nice. There were only two times you could have dinner, and there w
This community is wonderful. I was able to take a tour and always wanted to because they have a great reputation in the Seattle area. The location is convenient to everything and very beautiful. The staff is great and they answered all questions for me and my loved one. I would recommend them.
I am happy I moved into Ida Culver House. The staff are very helpful, cooperative and kind. The food is a little to good as I am gaining weight. The home is kept clean and well maintained. I enjoy the exercise classes and have signed up for some of the trips. I would recommend this place to family and friends.
We had a wonderful experience at Ida Culver Ravenna, where my father lived for 3 years. When he first moved in, he was living independently, and then needed more care and services as time went on. We were able to adjust the assisted living services to personally meet his needs. The staff and quality of care is exceptional. They are caring and attentive to residents and responsive to family members. Ida Culver offers a great variety of activities both on site and off. My father often comme
They did a very good job of presenting the property. It was very straight forward getting my mother moved in. The only issue that i have seen is that my mother has been reluctant to get involved in the activities.
The intake process was easy and the people were friendly and caring. My mother is just moving in, so I cannot comment on longer term issues, but the process of getting an apartment for her and arranging her care has been easy and the staff really seems to care for the residents.
It is a challenge for family members to find a retirement place for aged parents to call home. If you're considering a retirement home for your aged parents do not look any further. Ida Culver House Ravenna is the place for you. The staff there are very nice, professional, encouraging, helpful, compassionate, reliable and the fact that they know what they are doing will give you a piece of mind knowing that your aged parents are in good hands. What I have observed is that staff at Ravenna will
Staff is polite but there are significant challenges with miscommunication amongst them and a general need to keep one another aware of scheduling and policy understanding.
