Reviews for Lakeshore
Caring Staff, Beautiful Views, Premium Price
The Lakeshore is consistently praised for its stunning lakefront location, friendly and caring staff across all departments, and strong sense of community among residents. Families feel relieved knowing their loved ones are safe and well-cared-for, with many residents reporting increased happiness after moving in. However, several reviewers note the facility is expensive compared to alternatives, with concerns about value and additional fees, and a few mention challenges with new resident integration, billing confusion, and inconsistent service delivery in assisted living.
I found The Lakeshore when my MIL decided it was time for senior living. I looked at multiple communities in the sound sound. This was the only place I took her. The setting is beautiful.. The staff is so friendly, welcoming, supportive from the time you enter and every encounter thereafter. It is a place where residents have welcoming smiles are friendly and feel at home. My MIL is so happy with every aspect of her living space and community. The meals are incredibly delicious. If I could give
We could not be happier with The Lakeshore and their staff! My mother-in-law recently moved in after she fell in love with a cute apartment. From the very beginning, the staff has been very welcoming, warm, friendly and professional. Everyone from the director to maintenance to reception to food service to community coordinators to shuttle drivers have made this transition the best it could be!! She feels very cared for and we rest knowing she is in good hands. Would highly recommend the Lakesho
Life has a way of catching you off guard. Recently, circumstances arose that required us to urgently find a long-term assisted living placement for both of my husband’s parents. We searched far and wide, visiting numerous communities throughout King and Snohomish Counties, and quickly discovered that not all offerings are created equal—some were basically adequate, while others fell short of our expectations. We quickly came to realize that a truly good placement involves far more than beautiful
Our family is so grateful for The Lakeshore. The staff truly cares for their community members and demonstrate kindness, helpfulness, understanding and care throughout the departments. The main reception staff always greet us with a smile and are willing to help in any way. The dining services are delicious and nutritious, even hosting a welcome dinner for our family. The view from the dining room is outstanding. The Wellness Center is reliable, organized and follows through on assisted living s
My father transitioned to The Lakeshore from his house following a mini-stroke four years ago. It turned out to be the best decision we could have made with him. While being in a great location with wonderful views of Lake Washington, the staff and residents are the reason why we have stayed over the years. My father recently transitioned from Independent Living to Assisted Living and the team at Lakeshore went beyond expectations to make sure the services required to support his increasing need
Overall has been great. Cleanliness is great. Friendliness is like a 3.5 for front desk, but the other staff are delightful. Quality of care is awesome--they have been right there when mom needed help even before I saw that I had missed their text. Food has been amazing, both nutrition wise and keeping them enjoying. Activities have been engaging them--decades long bridge players and loving the activity nights, such as the luau night. Value wise, it's not cheap, but very much worth the value. Th
Beautiful grounds, but the food not great. Apartment size 1 bedroom was perfect except lowest floor rooms are a little dark but still nice. Staff was nice and engaging - only reason my mom left was she needed memory care.
Beautiful dining room with view of Lake Washington. Grounds beautiful and well taken care of. Staff is friendly and kind. Secure with gated entrance. Some menu options are very good - maybe rotate menu with more specials. I guess I'm looking at it from a 60 year old rather than an 85 year old so it's probably fine for most.
While we were impressed with the grounds, community, and staff, we had concerns about the room layouts and cost compared to [removed]. One example is that they charged an extra fee for an alert bracelet, which [removed] did not. That said, we would have been happy with Lakeshore, but we liked [removed] better.
The Lake Shore is a wonderful retirement facility with a view of Lake Washington that’s simply breathtaking. The staff are all friendly and helpful and professional. It really feels like a wonderful community of friendly staff and a community of friends. The food is beyond delicious and I couldn’t feel any better having my mom and stepdad making Lake Shore their retirement home. Thanks to everyone at the Lake Shore for making their retirement a wonderful experience.
Everyone is so friendly. The wine and food were delicious. The entertainment was fun and the art show was top-notch. I was impressed with both the outside artists work and with the work of the artists in your own community!
My parents are enjoying the beautiful setting and are encouraged daily by the caring staff who work hard to make sure they get a smile out of Mom and Dad throughout the day. There are a number of adjustments to moving into a community and one by one we are tackling them together.
This community is okay but it was to far away from my daughter and I wanted a more modern feeling environment. They gave a good tour with lots of information.
I chose The Lakeshore because it was a smaller community and everyone seemed very friendly, I felt more at home here. I have only been here a short amount of time but it has been a good experience so far. I do know that they have a lot of activities provided and they are trying their best to do as much as they can with some of the covid restrictions still in place. The meals here are chef prepared and we get to choose off a menu. The chef really goes out of their way to try and make it accommoda
I decided to move to The Lakeshore because the staff members were so pleasant, helpful, and genuinely understanding. So selecting The Lakeshore was really very easy. The people here realized I was discouraged after losing my sweetheart. So it was comforting to know I was going to receive emotional support as well as personal assistance. I am looking at this change of residence as a positive step. I am very happy here and looking forward not backward. I am ready for the next chapter!
We chose this facility because of the view, it overlooks the lake. We also liked the value for the money as well as the location. The room sizes here seemed average compared to others that we looked into. the facility is older, but it is well maintained. Overall, I would highly recommend them to others looking.
My mom has been really happy here, the staff has been wonderful. It a cheerful and homey place and itis a perfect place and they encourage self-expression. I Would definitely recommend this facility to others.
Very nice. For price apts.have small rooms. As for 2nd person fee very high for 1 meal a day.Rest of community was excellent.
The Lakeshore provides many services for residents. But sometimes I don't believe all the services are provided as requested...like showers, emptying the commode, etc...especially when the resident has signed up for several services. Also, they have a lot of staff to handle all the services, but it is never clear who in the chain of employees handles what -- so questions are often not directed to the right person. However, the meals are very good, the facility is very clean, they offer many
Recently remodeled and clean. Staff appears friendly.
The Lakeshore is a beautiful facility with great views of Lake Washington. I was impressed with the apartments that I was shown. I liked that the staff is very diversified. Somewhat pricey.
My mother is very happy in her new home. She enjoys the staff and the access for mobility. The apartments are newly remodeled and she has a view of the lake. There is always activities for her to partake in and the residents have welcomed her with open arms.
Beautiful facility and location.
A lovely facility but once I move to an assisted facility I don't want to move again. I could only afford to live at Lakeshore for a few years.
I like the facility, the activities, but the price is a bit much for what they are providing, though not out of the range. My concern is whether or not they can maintain this level of care. Friendly staff and personnel.
Mom loves living at Lakeshore. The staff is friendly, informative, and helpful. The food is good and the servers are so accommodating. Mom loves all the activities offered - field trips in a big bus, drives to new areas in a smaller bus, trips to Fred Meyer for shopping, etc. They celebrate holidays and special events, have concerts and card playing, book clubs, and puzzle solving as well as Art Show/Wine Tastings. Rides are provided to the Dr. and hospital, too. The grounds are beautiful
My In-Law has good and happy staff to help him and the community is kept clean. He seems to like all the activities and it has been keeping him super busy. The recently had a luau and a fireman carnival. It is nice because they are busy during the week and the family can join if they want. The community looks nice and so beautiful, it is off the lake. We knew some people who had family at Lakeshore, and that made it more comfortable for us having him here. We also picked them because they have a
After having a good tour here, I thought about living here and they were my second consideration. They were too far away and there were personal preference that they did not have for me, like no indoor parking. I needed that.
Mom is settling in and getting use to the community lifestyle. It is lovely and a well run place. The staff are quite good with the care. The schedule is something she is getting use, knowing how things work here. In the assisted living the staff do anything for her and always helping her. They are good at explaining stuff and trying to get her involved.
I toured this community for myself. It was clean and well maintained. The staff were nice and friendly and answered my questions. They would have offered me activities and a variety of meals. I did not get the home feeling I was looking for but would recommend other families to see this community for themselves.
I toured this facility for my mother. It is a nice facility with kind people. They offered us a meal and it was decent. This isn't a bad community, everything looked nice and clean. The staff was welcoming and friendly. It was a decent tour.
My mother has just moved into the Lakeshore and has been met there by a wonderfully supportive community that is diverse and caring. The facility is clean and tidy and the staff have been attentive to her needs. This has been a gentle and seamless transition for her.
On behalf of my parents, the 6 siblings and 14 grandchildren in our family, I’d like to express my appreciation for the wonderful living environment you and your awesome staff have created for the parents. There was great in trepidation, especially amongst siblings about the folks feeling like losing their independence and initiate a downward spiral with the recognition of need for assisted living. Our actual experience is the opposite. We have eliminated many stress points in their lives and
The Lakeshore is hands down the perfect environment for my Father. He's happy, safe and enjoying his new home. I'm grateful for the wonderful resources provided by A Place for Mom and the awesome staff of The Lakeshore.
Great location and facility. The dining and private dining areas are very nice. The food is good and the desserts better. My father lived there for seven years. He made many friends there. It was home. He enjoyed having a pea patch garden, the Wii bowling league and the frequent bus trips. The staff was professional and caring. They gave him that extra help that he needed as he got weaker, but treated him like it was business as usual. The luau in August was always a favorite. His favorite meal
In terms of the facility itself, and the services it provides, The Lakeshore is fabulous. It is always well kept and clean, and the staff are friendly, caring, and professional. The problem that we ran into is that their program for bringing in and integrating new residents is very lacking. My loved ones haven't had much luck meeting new people or finding activities to participate in. The activities themselves are great, but the community needs to do more to help new residents figure out what i
Was very pleased with this place. It is presently on the top of my list for dad. I think he will be satisfied here too.
Unfortunately they aren't participating in activities because they aren't interested. My mother was very reluctant to move ther so she has been reluctant to do anything more than sit in her room and watch television, they are encouraging her to participate. My experience in general has been fairly good, I'm fighting someissues right now with their billing, their billing seems to be confused, but I'm in the process of getting that worked out. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed with the staff because
Facility a little old. Quiet neighbor. Good to explore more.
The director bought me lunch in their dining facility. The food was adequate (fake crab doesn't make a good hot sandwich). The views of the southern end of Lake Washington are outstanding. The apartment was good, not as spacious assome, but a much better view.
I know this facility, but not in a nice part of town.
Very elegent. Like a 4 star hotel. Great staff. No memory care.
