Reviews for Murano Senior Living

Boutique Hotel-Style Care Excellence

Murano delivers a boutique hotel experience with spectacular Seattle views, exceptional food from a scratch kitchen, and notably kind, stable staff that families consistently praise. Reviewers highlight the beautiful facility, spacious apartments, rich activities including Montessori-based memory care, and strong employee retention. Minor criticisms include occasional slow responsiveness post-move-in, inconsistent pricing communications, and meats sometimes overcooked, though recent culinary improvements show responsiveness to feedback.

Murano Senior Living graciously invited our company to hold our regional meeting at their community, giving me the opportunity to stay in their guest suite for a few nights. The building is absolutely beautiful, filled with high‑end touches throughout. The suite itself was spacious and quiet, making for a very comfortable stay. The staff at Murano were warm and welcoming, and the food was fantastic.

I had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful retirement, assisted living and memory care community to attend a regional meeting for our senior housing & care referral agency that was hosted by The Murano. I enjoyed interacting with the friendly staff, residents and residents' family members. I was impressed with the layout of the apartment where I stayed. I was even more impressed with the feel of the community, activities and care being offered. The food was excellent, and the wait staff

Murano is a lovely facility with all the amenities, and then some, one could want. The staff was very welcoming and kind, making us feel comfortable at this challenging time.

[name removed] was kind, warm, patient, and helpful. The food from the scratch kitchen is delicious. The available 2br/2bath apartment on the 3rd floor is a much lower rent than units with a full kitchen and washer/dryer so the monthly costs are feasible for my parents.

The staff at Murano are the friendliest, kindest of any of the MANY facilities we toured by far. Most more than once. Ask about employee retention. Very important. Murano's is better than others by far. At least in 2025. Muranos memory care a FIND. I never knew that Montessori worked with adults with dementia after his work with children. Having many stimulating daily activities and a sense of purpose is the difference between being taken care of and having a life

Murano Senior Living is more than just a collection of apartments or amenities; it is a community where every individual’s story finds a home. Residents hail from a wide array of backgrounds and walks of life, bringing with them a tapestry of experiences and memories. The result is a place that celebrates diversity, honors individuality, and, above all, fosters deep and meaningful connections.

Overall probably like many places I received much prompter assistance when we were in sales mode. After signing the contract they have been less responsive. For example we have been waiting several weeks for help assembling furniture. The room size is great, full size kitchen and full washer/dryer in unit. Three closets and ample kitchen and bathroom storage. The food is exceptional, though the restaurant-style service makes it slow at times. The activities are age appropriate and good for a mix

I would absolutely recommend Murano. Living here feels like staying in a boutique hotel elegant and welcoming! While there have been a few small glitches, the staff consistently go above and beyond, which more than makes up for it.

I arrived around 9:45 PM and left at about 9:55 PM. The young woman at the front desk was courteous, friendly, and polite. I sometimes think that the role of the front desk is underestimated. There are a lot of Bad Things that do not happen because somebody is there keeping an eye on the front door. I know that there is a video surveillance, and that is a good thing to have, but having a real human being is a strong deterrent.

We have family members living at Murano and just visited them last weekend. The staff including manager, Eric, dining room server, Aleah, food manager, Lisa, front desk attendant, Ivan, are truly serving individuals who listen attentively and professionally, handle courteously a myriad of requests from residents and truly do a fantastic job of taking care of residents and their guests. The environment at Murano is beautiful - artfully decorated, lots of daily activities ranging from Parkinsons

Murano has been able to find many kind and caring staff. The place is really infused with a sense of fun as well as caring. That sense of staff being empowered but supported is very rare but precious.

The staff and facilities at Murano are top notch. My experience with their food has been wonderful and they have an activity calendar full of fun things to do in and around the property. They have some of the best humans in Seattle living here!

Our father lives at Murano Senior Living and we couldn't be more happy with the support, fun atmosphere and daily activities that they offer. He uses the gym regularly, he also takes advantage of the town car which helps keep his independence while being taken care of and his apartment is perfect for him to manage. We are grateful for the Murano and all the staff that supports the community.

It's a very friendly community that is close to public transport, medical facilities, shopping, and entertainment.

The staff there are really great, and turnover has been relatively low, which means the people who care for mom on a daily basis are very familiar with her needs. Also, she has friendly people dropping in to check on her frequently throughout the day. In addition to three meals a day, someone also comes by with snacks (fruit, granola, cookies, sandwich bites, etc) twice a day.

Picked for combination with independent living and overall opportunities to improve quality of life. I would recommend to others.

Overall, although I've only been here a short while, I'm pretty satisfied with Murano. Touch base with me in a few months and I'll give you an update.

The reason we gave the meals and dining a 3 out of 5 is because - a) meats are overcooked and tough at least half of the time. The exception is seafood which is good; b) small vegetables portions; c) no options for seasoning preferences such as offering mild and spicy versions for specials and a la carte entrees. That said, recently the chef(s) have been more experimental with specials and have had success with the Asian/Middle Eastern dishes and the Coq au Vin. Asian/Middle Eastern has been sp

My loved one is currently a resident at Murano Senior Living. The daily care staff and housekeeping are both excellent. The communication of management team with the family has been average, but probably adversely affected by a change in property ownership that has occurred over the past several months. The meal quality is excellent, but the variety could use some improvement. Overall, we would recommend Murano Senior Living to others.

Murano Senior Living was actually my top choice. I was very impressed with the director [name removed]. She explained the "Swedish" model that they use. The lighting was very soft in there. no bright overhead lights. She explained this caused less manic episodes for seniors. The facility almost had a ski lodge feel to it, very homey and comfortable. I highly recommend others check this facility out and talk with [name removed].

One of the things that I love about Murano is because it's a high rise, everything is really easy to access. For my loved one, that type of layout is much easier for her to navigate than long hallways would be. It's beautifully appointed. It feels like a cruise ship that just happens to be on land. They're understaffed a little bit, but the staff are really hard working. It doesn't seem to affect things overall - I just worry about how much the staff seem to take on. The food is excellent.

We chose Murano Senior Living because the value is incredible, administrative staff is super friendly, and it is very clean. I think everyone is having a hard time finding quality caregivers, but they are really working on it. Overall the experience has been great and they are willing to listen and are actively trying to improve.

After years of research and visiting over a dozen facilities, my husband and I moved to the Murano. We just love it here! This gorgeous facility offers an innovative model for senior care, from independent living through assisted living services and memory care. Management is highly responsive and staff is very caring. State fo the art health and fitness opportunities are facilities to individual needs. The food is truly amazing, both delicious and highly nutritious. Our days are filled with fun

The architecture = extremely great. In all details, all furnishing - chairs, meeting rooms, the best. The working staff could not be better. Makes you feel at home. The food excellent - tasty, plenty of food, snacks, drinks. Music, is entertaining - always special gifts, candy, drinks. Kind words - letting you know they're here to help you. Keeping your place very clean, healthy, happy. Appreciated.

Anyone considering moving into a senior living facility should choose the Murano. The staff is outstanding. Ask and you shall receive. [Name removed] the chef is really great! [Name removed] the food and beverage manager is outstanding. [Name removed] the program supervisor is incredible. She contacts us by email every day now that we are on lockdown and gives us websites we can do on using Zoom. I've had visitors who said they are looking forward to turning 55 so they can move in! Both prior to and during COVID-19 Murano services have been beyond excellent. Prior to COVID-19 the staff and residents created a very rich and vibrant community. Now in the middle of COVID-19 pandemic, the staff with the use of technology has continued to engage and enrich our lives while emphasizing "staying healthy!"
