Reviews for Park Shore

Excellent Care, Poor Administration

Parkshore receives consistently strong praise for its competent and caring staff, beautiful waterfront location near top medical facilities, exceptional social activities, and surprisingly high-quality dining. Long-term residents highlight the comfortable, personalized atmosphere and excellent fitness amenities. However, significant administrative issues mar the otherwise positive reputation: one family faced unexplained Medicare billing problems with no response to repeated calls, and another resident noted telephone communication system deficiencies. The care quality appears excellent, but back-office responsiveness needs urgent attention.

The staff were very patient and provided excellent care to my father who is 92 and presented with special needs. Those needs were addressed appropriately and he and I were kept up to date with his progress. The social worker Diane was amazing and kept the channels of communication at long distances and we are so grateful for her. Since this first post my father received a huge bill. He was a rehab pt and it should have been covered by Medicare. I have tried in vain to get an explanation of this

Parkshore offers a great living experience for individuals seeking comfort, beauty, and an enriching lifestyle. I have lived at Parkshore for eight years and have made wonderful friends and connections. The staff is uniformly competent and caring, and the social activities are exceptional. If you're looking for a place for yourself or a loved one, Parkshore is the ideal choice!

I am currently living here and I would say Parkshore has an unusual talent for understanding and addressing the range of individual capabilities and needs, even among people who appear to be similar. It is a rather fine living community for families and partners who need loved ones to be close to medical care. Just an elevator away, there is that great medical care I mentioned, as well as fine dining. The location of Parkshore is also great because of the super close access to the best hospita

I’ve been at Parkshore for almost 10 years in independent living and enjoyed every minute of it. Of course the view is amazing, the food is delicious, and the size of the building is perfect for getting to know the residents and the staff, and for them to get to know you. But the biggest perk to me is the outstanding, fully equipped, fitness center. It keeps me fit so I can continue enjoying any of the activities I choose. My family and I are really happy we chose Parkshore.

I have been at Parkshore for 3 years and I would say there are many ways to get involved at this community. I knew this was the place I would end up at, I have been in Madison Park for many years and I enjoy the area. It is very walkable. I like the community in how casual it is, we all get to go by first name and I feel comfortable here. A quick note on the dining food, I was not expecting the food to be as gourmet as it is. However, I think the telephone communication system could be improve

My husband was in Park Shore for rehab for one month. It's a full care facility, from independent living to nursing community and rehabilitation. It was really good, and I'd like my husband to be there, but they didn't have any rooms. They had to take their clients first before they can take anyone from the outside, but they loved him and he loved them, too. Even though they managed to vaccinate everyone twice, they wouldn't let me in the front door. My husband came out of th

Our parents have been at Parkshore for over 5 years. Yes, the food is consistently good and the setting and view are fabulous. While staff are generally kind, we find the place to be quite dysfunctional in terms of communication around critical elements like residence options for a couple and quality of care. They put much more into marketing and attracting tenants than into serving those already there. The 2nd floor nursing care rooms are drab and depressing. Having spent some time at other ce

Park Shore was beautiful, and they are in the state of transition because they’re making their units larger. I visited their physical therapy program, and I also had a meal there; the food was excellent.

It's being remodeled to our specs, and we're moving in soon to Park Shore. It has the greatest views around. It's upscale. It's not dominated by people who make you feel older. It's in the middle of Madison Park, which is a nice little community away from the big city, but still close. It got all the amenities you want -- banks, Starbucks, good restaurants -- in a small community. Staff is first class all around. The only problem is parking for anybody that visits you.

This facility has a million dollar view of Lake Washington from the Madison Park area of Seattle. The individual apartments are beautiful and most with stunning views. The caregivers are very considerate and patient. We love the staff who provide top notch care...we have no complaints. The only drawback is trying to find parking in this neighborhood which is fairly typically for just about anywhere in Seattle.
