Reviews for Patriots Glen
Compassionate Care, Dedicated Staff
Patriots Glen earns consistent praise for its compassionate, long-tenured staff who provide attentive personal care and treat residents with genuine warmth. Families emphasize the small facility size (15-bed memory care unit mentioned) creates a non-overwhelming environment where staff know residents personally and respond quickly to needs. The primary critique involves occasional staffing shortages affecting resident interaction, one negative report of unprofessional care management, and limited activities in memory care compared to assisted living.
Thank you Venetia she has been an absolute amazing a tremendous community Relations. She makes every transition smooth and seamless and consistently gets the job done with professionalism and care. She has been incredibly helpful with my clients in the community. The community itself is clean, beautiful and welcoming with an amazing memory care program. Venetia truly makes a difference.!! Thank you again from the Oasis Senior Advisor Team!
During an incredibly meaningful and emotional time for our family, the staff at Patriots Glen have shown nothing but kindness, patience, and compassion toward our father. Their care has given us a sense of calm and reassurance that we’re truly grateful for.
The staff at Patriots Glen have been extraordinarily kind and compassionate to my father during a very important time for our family, and we feel blessed to have landed there. We wish your family the very best in finding the right place for your loved one — your own Patriots Glen.
Intake was a little disorganized regarding paper work, but overall all staff very friendly and helpful. The couple of times I was there during mealtime, food seemed ok. They did a good job keeping track of hearing aids. Appreciated place that had respite care for 2 weeks.
My tour of Patriots Glen Assisted Living & Memory Care was excellent. That was my preferred place, but we chose another place that was more convenient for the family. Nevertheless, they're wonderful. The units were very nice. They had one-bedroom apartments. They have full activity schedules with trips to the grocery store. They have all kinds of wonderful things.
I visited Patriots Glen Assisted Living & Memory Care and I loved that place. I would have moved my father-in-law in right away. It just felt homey and it felt like the staff really cared. They showed me the memory care, and it's mainly the one I toured, but I know everything's all in one building. I love the staff, and the place is small, and just kind of felt more like a family. They are excellent, very helpful, and very friendly. There are lots of activities, too.
My father had been at an upscale assisted living facility for four years, but as his abilities waned we found that they could not reliably provide the nursing and ADL support that they claimed to offer. After he had a couple of falls we were told that we had to obtain third party 24x7 care for him to stay. The third party care came with its own reliability and quality issues. After many months, and a lot of $, we gave up and looked around for a facility that could really provide assistance with
The administration and staff are generally lovely. Activities are well planned and the people care. I really appreciate the referral to this place. My dad actually chose it after touring. My mom with dementia felt very comfortable and happy in the environment during the tour and actually was wondering out loud why we were leaving after our first visit. My dad really put weight on this as her affect of comfort and happiness was very important to him (and to me of course). Based on the experience
My father moved to Patriots Glen Assisted Living & Memory Care. I like the staff. They seem to care about memory care residents. The building is quite nice. We toured a couple of places and this wasn't as nice as the others, but it was less expensive. They have a couple of common areas. They have a television room and a dining/activity room. My dad's situation is unique. When we were going to the facility, we were going to go into the assisted living room into a respite room, but
My mom has been at Patriots Glen for over 4 years now, beginning in Spring 2019. She had lived in ‘independent’ living for several years after moving closer to us; then she went through a rapid decline and became unable to live independently. This was all new to us. We tried several assisted living situations, and she was miserable, and we could clearly see when care was sub-par, also very expensive and worse, she continued to decline. When we found Patriots Glen we were fairly seasoned at thi
My husband was a resident at Patriots Glen Memory Care for a short time before he passed away. He received good care and the staff was attentive. Physical Therapy was available along with medical care. The PT person actually had him walking the hall. (They had a railing on each side of the walkway.) The week before we moved him, he could not walk with me. And we used to walk in the Malls at least 2 or 3 times a week. There were classes and get togethers for residents if they chose to and were ph
My loved ones were residents at this facility. The facility and staff are nice, pleasant, and helpful. The care was good. It was during Covid, so the rules were tighter. Which was good, neither of them got Covid. My loved ones never complained about the housekeeping. Their rooms were always clean and looked well kept when we were there. The only complaint that one of them had was that she wanted more Asian food, she is Japanese. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.
It's a nice memory care unit. Most the caregivers and nurses are nice. I understand it's not an easy job and their short staffed sometimes and their doing what they can, would just like to see more interaction between the caregivers and the residents. I just personally think a few of the caregivers could use a brush up coarse on listening to my loved one or at least try and figure out what they might be trying to say. Meals are good with dessert after, juice or milk. They are almost done with a
Patriots Glen gives a very warm and welcoming feeling as soon as you walk through the doors. The staff were very friendly and happy to help me. Jordan, the Executive Director, is very knowledgeable and offered to help me in any way that he could. I got the chance to talk with a few residents while visiting and they all couldn’t say enough great things about the place. The food they offered was tasty and well above average. They made it feel like home.
Patriots Glen is an elegant and empathetic breath of fresh air. A retirement home for an aging community of folks. While there consulting on a landscaping project all the residents and staff seemed calm, content, and stimulated. A dedicated staff who are really performing miracles by offering there very best to these great people in there care. They handle every resident from the sweetest to the meanest from the somewhat healthy to those who are near departure everyone was treated with grace
What I like the least about Patriots Glen Assisted Living & Memory Care is probably the fact that the memory care residents didn't have the opportunity to be involved with activities other than television. In the activity room, they're all kind of lined up in their chairs watching TV, and the care provider that was sitting in the room was just sitting there kind of to oversee but not be actively engaged with them. There was no engagement by the care provider. I would think that the
We moved both of our parents into Patriot’s Glen and we were so glad that we did. They received excellent care and emotional support. The professionals and care takers are highly trained but more importantly they are kind and caring and they go above and beyond to make sure their residents are healthy and happy. They also made our entire family feel welcomed and at home in their facility. We are so grateful to Patriots Glen for everything they have done for our family. We highly recommend Patri
Patriots Glen Assisted Living & Memory Care was a good and very friendly place. I saw quite a few people in the common areas watching TV as compared to the other facility that I went to where nobody was there at all. They were milling around and their courtyard was really pretty. I met Mohammed and he was very nice, answered my questions, and was professional. I only looked at one apartment and thought that it's not going to work. It didn't have any views that my mom is looking f
My mom is moving into Patriot Glen Senior Living in Bellevue on Tuesday. I've already seen the place, and I was impressed. It was a very good tour, which is how I ended up choosing it for my mom. We toured the assisted living part of the facility. There are people that live there that are just totally independent. You can add on the services that you need or take them off, if you don't need them anymore. There are things like medication management, showering, or whatever you need. The
The staff here seemed to better than another community. It is an older community with very professional staff. The buy-in fee was good for us. The monthly fee was higher than we wanted. They do have a nursing staff and doctor available 24 hours 7 days a week. Advanced care would be good to consider here.
I placed my best friends mother in Patriot Glens Memory Care in April 2017 after researching many options - 2 other care facilities and several "Home for Mom" facilities. I was so impressed with the leadership and genuine caring expressed by the staff for my "adopted" mother whom I had to unexpectedly move from an Assisted Living facility due to a change in mental status while my friend was away on a long trip. Jane worked with us so this was legally possible and we never que
The times we have been able to see the community the cleanliness is great, and the staff members we have all encountered our wonderful and the care takers have great responses. During Christmas they brought in Santa and we were able to take a picture with him. The staff were very accommodating to us being able to meet with our loved one outside they had made for us, they have really done their best to accommodate our wishes.
Our Mom was a resident of Patriots Glen. We would like to send our thanks to Jane, Jordan and the entire rest of the staff for everything that they did for her. Mom, like most others, was a very loving person and was always so helpful to others in so many different ways, but when her disabilities finally caught up to her she could no longer live safely on her own. The first assisted living facility she was in was not able to adjust to her progressing needs, and we had a difficult time finding
Our loved one seems t o be enjoying the community, and the care services seem to be okay. They did have a couple of COVID outbreaks, but they handled it well. We do know they have started to offer more activities lately.
Everybody was friendly, very open, and very willing to help from the time we walked the door to the time we walk walked in the door. My advise to those looking for memory care, is don't wait, move them in when they still can understand. We chose this community because it was smaller, I liked the set up, the people were very caring, it was organized, and clean. I would recommend this community to other families.
We chose this community because the marketing staff was incredible, and the had visiting physicians who believed less in more with regards medications and she excelled and blossom back to herself. The man who oversees nursing was wonderful and helpful to our family. The unexpected end of life care was compassionate and exceptional.
My Mother spent almost 2 years at the end of her life enjoying all the benefits that this facility offers. The flexibility, atmosphere, activities, ease of get to doctors’ appointments, attention to medical requirements and personal services was very appreciated. The staff is very friendly and reacts quickly to any adjustments that are necessary. Access to management is incredibly simple and they work towards understanding the specific needs of my Mom., then implementing the desired results.
I think this place is a pocket stuff. Never enough employees and very unattentive staff. They smile a lot. We need more than that! The people have an emergency button. They never answer it. Some of the employees do a bit better than broken English. Food is pretty marginal. Usually, when I visit...I have to chase down the help to order. I think they are siphoning people to their "memory care" unit, from the other side. Not sure they are better or worse than any of the others. I c
Patriots Glen is a most unusual home for seniors meeting the needs with loving service not included elsewhere. A loving family home with comforting appearance and decor. Reasonable costs are determined and adjusted by personal needs.Unlike other facilities, activities direct continual opportunities to exercise, have fun, go shopping, keep alert and active while enjoying life. Our activity direction is primary. Visits by family and friends are facilitated at all hours. Residents can also keep a do
My husband resided in the memory wing of Patriots' Glen for 6 month. My insurance ran out, so I brought him home because if have in-home insurance too. I was very impressed with this facility. The leadership staff was very friendly and accommodating. They had my husband's welfare at heart and were ready to discuss any concerns.. The care-giver staff radiated hapiness and were quick to help in any way they could. There are many daily activities that I enjoyed when I visited my husband. And
While looking into places for my father, this is one of the locations that we are pleased with so far. The staff is doing an adequate job with the needs that he needs and it was a smaller facility so it wasn’t so overwhelming. Even the other residents there are friendly and personable which I didn’t think would be an issue. Sometimes you see a person sitting by their selves eating at a table that sits four people, you could walk up to them and invite yourself to join. It’s a very “smile and hand
I [Removed] the care staff. They are rude and often times unprofessional. Special their care manager he is full of it and unprofessional. I think he might be new to the industry. Otherwise this place would have been great
Patriot's Glen is a wonderful and caring facility that is managed and staffed by people who genuinely care about their residents. They offer a high level of customer service and provide a "peace of mind" for those who have their loved ones living there. They work very hard to offer activities and events that make the residents feel welcome.
After many years of sub-standard care, we moved mom to Patriot's Glen. We are so happy we did. Don't go on just price to assume more cost means better care! The staff at Patriot's is kind and caring. The facility is well maintained and clean. Mom spent the last months of her life so much happier. Thank you PG for your professionalism and compassion. I cannot recommend you enough!
The lady that gave my loved one and I a tour of there community was very friendly and was on time to our appointment. I was just a little disappointed in the lack of knowledge that she had on the pricing and different package deals. We would have had to wait for another person to contact us and we just did not have that kind of time.
I have nothing but high praise for Patriots Glen. They took wonderful care of my mother and were very attentive to her needs. She loved the food, the staff and her room. She very welcomed and enjoyed the company of the other residents. Thank you Patriots Glen!
Overall pleasant. Not a job to the staff but a calling.
The reason I picked Patriots Glen was because my price range was between $3,000, and $4,500 a month. All of the places that were recommended were above that. There were only three places that I selected that had the services for memory care that were adequate for my mother. It turned out to be one of the lower priced places, and also had the level of care that was adequate. We tried respite stay in two places. When my mom was staying at the other place, she had two incidents within the first fou
My mother has lived at Patriot's Glen for 8 months now. I cannot imagine a more caring and loving staff that have more than met her every need. She has received immediate care for evey need. Each care-giver treats her like a loving family member. The chef John provides gourmet meals. Patriot's Glen has been a true home for my mom. I cannot imagine any need that has not been met at the 5 star level. She has thrived there. Thanks ever so much!
I moved my dad from the finest facility in Northern California to Patriot's Glen six months before he passed away. Patriots was smaller, and did not as new but it turned out to be the perfect place for him. The Staff were more attentive, incredibly loving and competent. He loved being there. I've been to a lot of assisted living places over my lifetime as a Pastor and as a son. This was the best in terms of care.
Patriot's Glen has proven very accessible and flexible. Each time we've called with concerns, they've been very responsive. They've been very patient while our family gets up the learning curve on how best to attend to my father-in-law's needs. They've also been a great sounding board during those rare times when the administration of having a loved one in assisted living becomes too complicated. My only critique has been that their staff is not very responsive via email. I've found that dis
I am very happy with the care at Patriots Glen. It is a smaller place which means really good care and one on one attention from the staff to the residents. The place itself is very nice and clean, and everyone there is extremely friendly.
Our father was at Patriots Glen for 4 years. The kindness, respect and support he received during that time was excellent. Everyone seemed to go the extra mile to ensure his happiness. Thanks to all at Patriots Glen!
To all at Patriots Glen and staff! We continue to think of you and appreciate your every kindness & gentleness you showed to our father and mother. You each gave them good and loving care for which we are eternally grateful and for which we want to express our thanks. Louise H family.
Patriots Glen has been a fine experience for my brother. The staff there is great. They are very flexible, willing to work with you. My brother enjoys the activities they offer, especially the field trips that they take the residents on. They will also take them to their doctors appointments if necessary. The food is fine. There were a few struggles at first but once the staff understood my brother's medication schedule, then things were fine.
I was appalled at my experience here. The community relations person told me anything I wanted to hear and promised the moon in an attempt to close the sale. She told me things that I knew were not true and promised me that my mom would never fall again and would be safe until her dying day. It was all about the sale for this person and not about listening to us or what my mom needs were.
I visited Patriots Glen, and the staff was very nice. The person who showed me around was wonderful. I really liked the front office gal and the community relations person. She was very helpful and kind. The rooms were fine. The parking area, which was right in front, was very convenient, with lots of spaces. They had activities, but I don't remember what they were. I don't believe that they would take my dad to church. Also, it seemed much more like a nursing home, and I didn't f
Everythin is fine, the care is excellent, we don't really have any complaints. It's a difficulty when you have a parents that would really rather stay in their own digs and they're dispalced from their home but everyone is making the attempts to make it as nice as possible for her, she's disappointed that she can't be at home but she isn't screaming or anything like that. I feel like they're planned going in, it really tries to address the needs of the residents and that's a lot of the reason we
Very nice. Good location for me. Not as much for Mom. Price good, 10% discount for veteran widows. Small and comfortable. Not as overwhelming.
