My mother likes Brookdale Foundation House. She thinks the staff is very friendly. It seems to meet all her needs so far. She's not happy about having to move out of her home, but she'll get over that. Basically, everything's fine. She thinks the food could be better. My interaction with the staff has been good. This is some of the things I notice that needs improvement. 1) cleanliness, the dining room tables and chairs need to scrubbed down. The hallway smells very strongly of urine. Very disappointed in Brookdale foundation house. My father lived at Brookdale foundation house for about 8 years. My father had been telling me how much it had gone down hill. I WISH I would have listened to him before he past away 2 months ago 😔. My experience has been very upsetting and disappointing through all of this. VENDORS WHATCH OUT! They hired our small family owned company and took a complete advantage of us! They called and scheduled our service to check and fix their 10 washers and dryers but never paid a dime for our inspection and repair though were pretty much willing to fix it. We toured Brookdale Foundation House, which was very well-maintained, nice, and clean. The experience was wonderful. The staff member who gave the tour, Roxanne, and her experience with us was first class. The rooms were very nice. We have seen the dining area, and it was nice, clean, well-kept, and had lots of scheduled activities.

Foundation House housekeeers are totally awesome; they're polite. Everyone who works here and lives here make me feel like family. We are just like a big family. As a resident here I like to volunteer my time in helping everyone, especially in memory care.

The room Mom was put in was to have the carpet cleaned, that was not done. Got charged for days in May when she was not even there. She moved in on [date removed]. The place smells like urine. The laundry system is a joke. Those gals there are very friendly but way to many patients to staff ratio. I go up 5 days a week and try to help with Moms care to help them out. I have made a lot of friends, people here is specials from other residents, kitchen staff housekeepers. Drivers even management. I consider them part of my family. Everyone does a good job.

My family had a very good experience while taking a tour. All throughout the tour, residents would come up to us and introduce themselves. We felt welcome. Patricia was who showed us around. She is very knowledgeable and it was obvious how much she cares.

The entire staff who work daily directly with the residents are outstanding. The past three management team turnovers have solved the core issues necessary for their positions. You can push papers, play the politics and hire until you get a ratio of 1-1 staff to resident and still have the same problems. My husband moved to Brookdale Foundation House. It's a beautiful property. They got trees all around it and everything was really nice but the food wasn't as good as the other community. It was all very well kept up. They took good care of him. They check his blood sugars, give his insulin, take care of his medications, and make sure that he is eating.

My loved one likes the people there and likes the food. Personal supplies have gone missing at various times. Case of Costco water, case of Costco toilet paper, packets of Honest Wipes, boxes of tissues and handfuls of latex gloves. Major concern is that it took multiple reminders (and finally threats) to get them to put her compression "socks" on every day. Then, on 2 occasions, she had dramatic swelling of the lower legs and neither the person putting on her socks nor the person assisting her

I would tell others to make sure to get the cost in writing! Food is very bland and repetitive on memory care side. More activities on memory care side geared towards people who are still active. They don't want to color! They want social interaction with their peers.

I would recommend Brookdale Foundation House to others. The up front community fee seemed high, but this is my first time taking on this process in full. Overall though, my mom is happy and safe and the facility is doing all of the tasks that we expected, as I'm not able to handle those day to day duties.

I toured Brookdale Foundation House. I liked the fact that they included meals and transportation in the service. My concern is there isn't enough space. They were ready to walk my nephew and I through the process in a moments notice and in the evening. They were honest, helpful as liaison with the hospital, and adjusted my sisters care DOWN when she was settled rather than keeping her at a higher rate. This helped build trust.

The facility is nice. The care that they offer is in a good way that you can pick what you want. Other places didn't offer that. We picked this community because of the care that we were promised for the value was what we were looking at. I was very disappointed with them. I would not recommend them.

Brookdale is very expensive. Base price monthly will be $[removed] with discount, $[removed] without. Discount only applies for automatic withdrawal of money from your bank account. Services requested are frequently not provided, but you will still be billed for them. I am moving my parent out of Brookdale as we speak. Only spent 6 months there.

What our family likes the most about the Brookdale Foundation House is the overall price and the location that it is in.

The staff is very friendly and helpful at Brookdale Foundation House. The dining staff really spoil you. The maintenance staff is prompt about needs and even brings your packages to your apartment from the front desk. The apartments are spacious with lots of storage. My mom has been living at Brookdale for almost a year. Mom is in memory care. The staff and caregivers are always so nice and helpful. I’m there at least once a week, I have always been happy the way they treat my mom. Most of all mom seems happy. The caregivers go up and beyond to help the patients. We toured Brookdale Foundation House three weeks ago. I like the community. I like the overall amenities. I don't know all the amenities, but they seem to have more to offer. I like their rooms. Make sure that they understand what to expect when couples live together, considered "Independent" and what happens in case of an emergency. Just be cause there is "a pull chord" in the room doesn't mean staff will help. Everyday staff fantastic! The admin ok. Made promises not kept. When had an emergency did not check in. 5 stars all the way around. What sticks out most about Brookdale Foundation House is the staff. They are all very caring, friendly and answer your questions in a timely manner. My loved one fell, and had to go to the hospital, and I needed to find a place right away. This community was pretty, reasonably priced, and close by. The sales director and executive director did an assessment and said that they could handle my loved one's condition. They were not able to take care of my loved one, and he ended up going back to the hospital. Overall, it was not a happy experience.

Brookdale Foundation House was a nice place. There are options for a studio type, one-bedroom, and two bedroom. The tour was very informative, especially for a person like me that has never taken a person to a senior home before. This community is always very clean and very well taken care our - they did have an covid outbreak at one point but they handled that situation very well. They are starting to bring back activities on a smaller scale and overall the staff are very friendly and good to work with. What we really like about this community is the staff, they are very friendly and activities look like they would be good. However our family member is not one to go out and participate and there does not seem to be any encouragement there. This community has just been wonderful. I have already recommended this community to two family friends. Brookdale Foundation House had a very nice library and some incredible activities set up. Probably out of all the places that I have seen, they were the ones that were very impressive. The staff was informative and incredibly friendly. They had art-related projects that were up for viewing outside. So, you could see what people did and what they worked on. Things were great at first but it went downhill right when she got here. The people were super nice and positive and promised a lot of great things but they were not carried through with. We came to visit a few times and there were barely any staff there. I was told by someone they only had 2 people staffing the whole place and there are 24 residents there. It is so important to know that my parents are being cared for by a well trained nursing staff with an RN on the premises. This community looks like a cruise ship but was not the right feeling that I was looking for. The people did not seem connected at all. A lot of staff walked by and did not say anything at all. We chose Brookdale Foundation House because the rooms were pretty big and the location is not on a main street so it is nice and quiet and surrounded by trees. We have not seen any administrative staff since we have moved my mom in here. They were very involved in the beginning. activities very limited due to covid but they are trying to open things back up as we are allowed. Our loved one is in an independent village, and the house keeping comes once a week. Everything is well maintained, everyone we have spoke with over the phone has been very friendly. The activities are still limited but they are tying to bring them back. Even during the pandemic they put in effort to keep the activities going, like playing bingo.

Brookdale Foundation House is a wonderful, clean, and well-kept place. It is a very busy place with a lot of residents, but they seem to handle them all very well. Brookdale Foundation House was very nice but very expensive. I stayed there for almost a year. The rooms were nice and had a little kitchenette. The food was OK. You could order off a menu. The people were very nice. They had trips to different places.

I'm moving in to Brookdale Foundation House. I chose it because the price was better for me. I wanted a 2-bedroom, which I got. They seem to be friendly and open. They have been very good at working with me. I've eaten there several times and the food was good. They had all kinds of things going on, but I haven't experienced any of it yet. The people that I've talked to are very happy. I have no complaints.

Dad has only been at this community for a short time and so far things are going well. The staff are friendly and they have different levels of experience. I had recently taken a tour of this community for my mother and she actually really liked it and we ended up putting down a deposit. We ended up not being able to qualify for the extra assistance my mother was going to need and had to back out of the plan of moving in. I am just disappointed that it took multiple months for my mother to get her down deposit that she was promised back. I actually had to step in and put matters into my own hands because they where giving her the run around.

My loved one has recently made the moved into this community and at this point everything has been going just fine for him. Every time I speak to him he is always in good spirits and seems to be enjoying himself as best as possible.

Overall the staff are taking good care of my mom and doing a good job. She is sleeping in a clean room, eating tasty meals, and getting involved with some activities. I would recommend this community to those I know who may need the help.

My mom has been a challenge but I have found that I have to do the conversation initiating,coordination of care etc. Once she was there, I feel lost. My mother is liking everything so far and is very pleased with how things have been going. The staff have been very helpful with getting her adjusted and acquainted with the other residents in her new living environment. She has been loving all of the food which is a huge plus for my family as well as the Sunday drives they take all of the residents on. My aunt is at Brookdale Foundation House (formerly Foundation House of Federal Way). It's a very nice, recently updated facility that recently lowered the prices on their one-bedroom apartments, which made it very affordable for her. She's a pretty active gal, which is great because they have activities and transportation. At this point, everything has gone well, and she's very happy. I would recommend it. She seems to be pretty satisfied with the menu.

A Place For Mom got us launched well into the investigative portion quickly. We did site visits and were so pleased each place welcomed us with open arms. What sold us on Brookdale Foundation House was the friendliness of the staff and the residence. Everyone was happy which is a reflection of the over all operations. It is really clean and we like the place a lot. They do need to do a little pressure washing on the outside though. My loved one has not been there for too long, but so far everyone has been real friendly and they have good activities.

Mom has been at Brookdale Foundation House for about 3 weeks. It was the only one that she really liked. It is very good, and we would recommend it. We have committed to a place called Foundation House. It is independent living with options for assisted. We have a cottage there, so we are independent. What I like best this place is the independence, the availability of all of the activities, food and everything, and the ability to move into assisted living when we need it. They have bridge, bingo, exercise, crafts, excursions, transportation, and classes. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
