Reviews for Mirror Lake Village
Beautiful Facility, Uneven Care
Mirror Lake Village receives polarized feedback, with most reviewers praising the attractive facility, warm front-desk staff, and safe location, while critical reviews raise serious concerns about memory care staffing, inconsistent medical oversight, and communication gaps. Families report positive experiences with sales and reception staff, but several note high turnover, understaffing in memory care units, and troubling incidents involving delayed medical attention and inadequate daily care for vulnerable residents requiring hands-on assistance.
I really enjoy my relationship with this community. Rheney has been amazing and so has the newest nurse Tricia. Every time I visit, each staff member has been very helpful and warm. The front desk staff is always amazing and cheerful and I would recommend to tour this community if you haven't yet.
They give me peace of mind knowing my sister is safe and well looked after.
This is my first time being involved in a care home. I would give an overall 4 for every category. They were really good to my sister. She was able to stop drinking and was clean her entire stay. Again it's to bad I couldn't afford to continue with her stay as she is failing now.
Mirror Lake Village is nestled in a great safe area in Federal Way. Stores are close and there is a lot of things to do. Mirror Lake is just down the road. It is a beautiful community, with fantastic residents and families.
I have visited over 100 communities across the United States and Mirror Lake Village is one of the nicest out there serving our Seniors. Their cottages feature 2 bedrooms, great floorplans and for the upstairs unit a private elevator and attached garage. The Assisted Living is very much like a high end boutique hotel, great apartments and the Residents and staff all seemed so happy during my visit. If your loved one needs Memory Care, they have a freestanding Memory Care building that has great
I enjoy living at Mirror Lake Village. It meets my needs. I live in a cottage with an attached garage which is a bonus. It is close to my church and to a Safeway. I only eat at the dining hall for dinner and that is pretty good.
If you can avoid putting your family members here, you should! I visit my grandpa once a week. Everytime I see new faces. I’ve talked with a few employees and the management here is scary. Too much work, not enough people and cutting people hours. I’ve had a short interaction with the kitchen new manager and wow. My only thought is how could someone be so rude. I hope she treats her kitchen staff better. The memory care units reek of pee. At times no one can be found and the nurses who are found
I am going to be brief although I could write a novel on how bad the place. Do not go there.. I had my wife in memory care for around 4 mouths. I had to go and see every day just make sure she was ok. They tried to bath her only twice but I had to bath her myself. I had to to feed her every day they just gave up on trying to feed her. I am the one that took care of her . I was paying over [fee removed] per month for her care and I was one that took care of her. I could write much more I will
The sales people are great, as are the reception people. I know that it is difficult to keep track of memory care residents, their clothes and possessions go missing as the residents can go into each other's rooms. I think most of the staff are friendly, but English is their second language and it's hard to get information about our resident. I'm not sure what to call our experience so far, but it is overall a nice community. I would like to remain anonymous. I'm not sure the care is the same fo
Mirror lake staff was friendly, helpful, and ready to answer any questions. Very nice people. At the facility she's at now, it seems there's always something going on. At mirror lake, just seems quiet all the time .
They are helpful. At times if a hearing aid is out of the ordinary it may take some teaching for them to understand how it works. Also there are for example two rooms 202. One in building A and one in building B. I have had things fall into the laundry and end up in the wrong building but corresponding room. I had them check the laundry in that other room and hearing aids were found.
I didn't give them highest marks in some categories, but overall I feel this has been a good experience. We've had few minor problems, but I give them a E for effort. The most significant event was when an outgoing employee informed us that [name removed] was being asked to leave. This was on a Friday and we spent the weekend trying to find a a male only situation for him. On Monday we called back and found the head nurse we spoke to no longer worked there and [name removed] was perfectly welc
Mirror Lake has an amazing staff, the facility is clean and well kept up. I would recommend it to any senior.
My experience was satisfactory and I have no complaints. I rate all a "4". The Memory Care was understaffed staff and yet were attentive and responsive to patient needs. Basically, Mirror Lake met our needs for our family member for the short six weeks he was in their care along with Evergreen Hospice Care.
I would give them all "0" if it were an option. If you love your loved one, don't go here. Do your research, not one should be placed at this facility.
I was not happy with Mirror Lake and I would not recommend them. First they told me there was a nurse on staff, but turns out it's an LPN, not a nurse. The LPN was making decisions on whether or not to call 911 when my loved one got ill. He told me that my loved ones vitals were fine and if he called 911 they wouldn't come and they wouldn't take him to the hospital. I called 911 myself; they took him to the hospital and they diagnosed him with Covid. They sent him back to Mirror Lake and they w
Our family had an in person tour and it was a good overall tour experience but location was very important to us so ultimately this community was not going to be suitable for our loved one.
Brand new community, boutique feel, with luxury amenities and personalized services! Beautiful cottages, assisted living, and state-of-the art three floor memory care! Great addition to senior living in the greater Federal Way area!!
They are a newer facility and growing their employees and getting into the swing of things which we understood but we were having issues with the home health aids and communication. We were being told one thing by the home health aids and then other things from the nurse onsite at the community. The communication could be improved, but the staff members were wonderful and such angels.
It is a good place for the elderly. The community looks clean and new. It looks like they are doing a good job. There is only one activities director currently, and I think there could be more activities offered. The one assisted living activities director is taking care of the activities for the memory care and assisted living
The staff are very knowledgeable, caring, and go out of their way. I would highly recommend the community to others. It is very convenient to get in and out of. Everyone is enthusiastic about what they are doing. The communication with updates on COVID could be better for the residents.
