Reviews for The Orchards at Grandview
Caring Staff, Critical Gaps
Most reviews praise caring staff, good food quality, and a welcoming environment, with several families reporting loved ones thriving under the facility's dementia care. However, critical reviews cite serious concerns including inadequate hygiene leading to one death, slow call light response, staff being cold or abrasive toward families, and failure to protect residents from assault. The facility appears to excel when functioning well but has significant care gaps that endanger vulnerable residents.
I have heard from people in this facility that the food is very good. That the food has very good favor and is appalling. The employees that work there are very caring.
Kitchen Just passed State Inspection for the second time in a row! The Residents love the food and staff! Everyone is so caring and hardworking! It’s Home away from Home ❤️
My mother died, because if the lack of care, she went septic because they failed to properly bath and care for her.
I work at Tucson Medical Center in Arizona. I was pleasantly surprised at the facility here. The staff were all very helpful and nice. My mom is well taken care of and I am so thankful to everyone here for all you do to make our families safe and happy. And kiddos to the kitchen staff. Her dinner looked and smelled amazing! I don't think she left a bite.
My husband is so happy living here. All the staff have been wonderful, always helpful. I visit regularly and have never found anything of concern. I couldn't be happier !
Nice faculty but cold staff. Have a loved one just moved into there as it was the only opening. The place she lived has infestation issues and these people throw everyone associated with the person under the same umbrella to the point of actually accusing others of bringing issues into the facility even though there is no association with said person. She was assaulted 2 times by two different patients, one being her roommate who is still in the same room with her. They are very discriminatory t

Having my mom here was the worst thing. The staff was not competent enough for my mothers advanced dementia. My interactions with staff were never pleasant, they behaved abrasive, asking me to leave areas over and over again while I visited my mom. I was in the lunchroom, I was with my mom. I would stop by unannounced and would find my mom on the floor with teeth that hadn’t been cleaned long enough to develop dark brown goo. Nurses came to assist but their affect showed annoyance and cold. I
Nice rooms, food could be better. Nurses need to answer call lights within 15 minutes which they are not doing currently.
My Dad was one of the first patients to enter the Orchards. He was in the last stages of dementia and even though we lived in the upper Valley there were no placements available for him, he was being turned down because they said he was too aggressive. Orchards took him and within a month he was a changed person. This was his new home. He never had behavior problems, ate well, was bathed and well groomed. The staff worked with him and he made is own routine. His drugs were redone to his special
During this difficult time, there is still more than Covid to think about. Real people still need real help with things that happen to them that are not related to this pandemic. We had a patient in dire need of placement in a facility. The Orchards at Grandview welcomed our patient with open arms. They were the only ones brave and caring enough to take on a new patient. We are totally and forever grateful. It eases our hearts to know this person is now in a safe environment with people that c
The facility is beautiful and the staff are so welcoming. I was a bit nervous with it being about 40 miles from our home and where my father was living but I am very confident he will enjoy his new surroundings.
Excellent Memory Care and nice new remodeled areas!
