Reviews for Sunrise of Issaquah

Caring Staff, Serious Care Gaps

Families consistently praise Sunrise of Issaquah's caring, attentive staff and beautiful, well-maintained facility, with many describing the community as feeling like home or family. However, one critical review details serious care lapses including unfulfilled 1-on-1 feeding services despite payment, resulting in significant weight loss, slow response times to emergency calls, and poor management communication. Food quality receives mixed feedback, with some finding it good while others note it needs improvement.

I was very impressed with my first tour of Sunrise Issaquah. The look and feel of the facility were wonderful. I am looking for a place for my mom. Cristin gave a very informative tour which led me to schedule a follow up tour and bring my parents in. Finger crossed and Mom and Dad agree this is a good place for Mom.

Helping your parents move out of their home and into assisted living is an incredibly difficult transition for both them and their family. Choosing Sunrise of Issaquah, however, was the best part of that decision! Our parents lived for three years in Sunrise’s Assisted Living prior to my dad’s passing, and I cannot say enough about how caring and attentive the staff have been. The team is truly exceptional—from Stephanie and Cole at the front desk, to the food service staff, to Anna and Lindsey

I agree with the review posted by Jamee Weaver. I’m a resident and know her mother well. She is well cared for as am I. I’m in the Assisted Living section with her. I can’t say enough about the care staff. They do their job exceptionally well but, for me, I see how much they truly care for the residents. That is the best feature of Sunrise. The facilities are exceptional, well cared for and functional. Be Sunrise provides physical therapy, hair care, podiatry, and other setvice activities. The

My experience overall has been very good. The staff at Sunrise of Issaquah nearly without exception are friendly and helpful. The building interior and common areas are beautifully decorated. I feel at home. Special mention goes to my friend And concierge, Stephanie. She has become a tremendous source of pleasure each day she is ai the front desk. Her smile, good humor and constant, positive, can do attitude is an inspiration. She always has time to talk with or help a resident in need. In my

It is always a pleasure to visit Sunrise of Issaquah. My friends mom loves it here and if/when the time comes it will definitely be top of the list for my mom due to the beautiful Eastside location, facility, but most of all the PEOPLE! Residents and care givers alike are all a genuine pleasure. Many fun daily and special events to stay engaged in whether it’s indoor Master’s Putt-putt Golf, live music, or the familiar comfort of a good old fashion family BINGO game. Highly, highly recommend

My mom has been a resident at Sunrise of Issaquah for two years, and our experience has been absolutely fantastic. The staff is truly exceptional — they are caring, attentive, and deeply engaged with every resident. While my mom was initially hesitant to make the move, she quickly settled in and has been genuinely happy ever since. The activities and events are wonderful — thoughtfully planned and always full of energy. It’s clear how much effort goes into keeping everyone active, social, and f

The staff is awesome! The facility is nice, clean, new and feels like home. It does not feel sterile or hospital like. There are good variety of activities and menu.

My beautiful Mamma moved to Sunrise of Issaquah, and soon became very ill. The care she was afforded by every single member of the staff went so far above beyond what I had expected. Every interaction she had with Every staff member was genuine and kind. Everyone was up to date on her treatment and care staff, Med techs and nurses were incredible. They treated her with compassion and cradled her in dignified and honest care. Nothing was ever too much to ask. We sadly lost mom, but I feel t

I moved my father in for a respite stay after a fall. Things went so well we he stayed permanently. The staff is superior. The care provided is consistent. The building is clean. The food is ok.

My mom needed an assisted living placement suddenly, after a fall. I had to tour the options without her (because she was still in the hospital) and make a decision quickly. Sunrise helped me get everything figured out. They even helped me figure out her furniture so that the place would already look like home when she arrived. Everything had to happen really fast! Sunrise helped my mom adapt to her new routine and she has continued her recovery in a place that’s comfortable for her. It’s comfor

Very friendly and helpful community. Best suited for my moms needs and dad could be with her. I would recommend to others.

My husband’s health was failing him and needed personal care. We moved into 4th floor and discovered a family of caregivers to help him day and night. They were very supportive 24 hours a day. After his passing, I moved to 2nd floor independent living. Looking forward to the future!

Sunrise is an awesome place. Everyone is caring, kind and friendly. The care managers have lots of experience dealing with a variety of personalities and needs. Residents get excellent care in a beautiful, serene setting.

The team has been welcoming and warm. My mom is happy with her choice. Laurene has been especially helpful. I would recommend this community. The price is reasonable too. The food needs a bit of work. The building is very clean

I recently moved my mom in to Sunrise of Issaquah. I was nervous about the whole experience. Shirley and the team really made me feel like family. They answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable in my choice.

I toured Sunrise of Issaquah during my search for Assisted Living for my loved one. This facility is great! It's very new and modern. The staff was friendly and I have no doubt that the care would be excellent at this facility. The cost is prohibitive, however.

My sister and I moved our mother into Sunrise of Issaquah when they first opened in July 2020. It has been evident the employees are happy and content which leads to excellent care and beautiful surroundings.

The staff at sunrise are a pleasure to work with. They're warm knowledgably, compassionate, kind, my husbands, care and mine are constantly adapting to care for him and his medical conditions. The resident with Alzheimer's is unique and needs individualized care plan. Staff has walked with me through very difficult decisions and transitions into care here at Sunrise. It's a wonderful place.

Absolutely everyone who works at sunrise is welcoming, respectful and genuinely eager to offer my mom and our family loving care. We always feel like a special part of the care team!

Sunrise has been like home to my husband for almost 2 years. The staff treat him like family and truly care for his well being. They are very professional, always keeping the residents needs in mind and will go out of their way to bring them joy and comfort throughout the day. Everything is well maintained and welcoming

our family could not be more appreciative, grateful and happy with our mother's care. Over these past 2 years, she has been treated with the utmost in care with patience, joy, kindness and understanding. We have truly found a peace of mind, well-being in this most difficult phase of her life.

Sunrise of Issaquah is in a class by themselves in my opinion, based on my experience. This facility and the one we chose were head and shoulders above the rest. They are also more expensive but we felt like you get what you pay for, in a good way.

Good community, not a memory care only.

BethSeptember 24, 2021

Sunrise of Issaquah is brand new and very bright on the inside and modern looking. They have a big dining area, a salon, and a media room. It was nice. It was just strange because any time I've been there, I've never seen anyone in the common area. There's one side of the building that faces the road, while the other side faces the woods. So, you have a pastoral wood view where there are no buildings or anything at all. The staff I talked to seemed knowledgeable. They have a lot

Sunrise of Issaquah is a beautiful community. It's like an age-in-place type of facility where you're paying for services that you may or may not need. So you get up and you have to push a button, and that lets them know that you got up in the morning, and you have a lifeline. It's a very nice facility, you're more on a schedule where you have to have lunch at noon, dinner's at 5:00, there's a set menu, they have monthly wellness checks; all good things. It's a
