Warm Staff, Engaged Community
Farrington Court earns overwhelmingly positive reviews for its warm, family-like atmosphere and genuinely caring staff who know residents by name. Families consistently praise the excellent food, extensive daily activities (300+ monthly), responsive management, and reasonable pricing. However, the facility is older with narrow hallways and occasionally slow call-button response, and one family reported a serious incident involving inadequate nighttime care and billing disputes after their loved one left.
Great caring staff, good food, lots of activities, well kept up building and good appt size. Andrew the sales guy bends over backwards to help you get in. A VERY caring place. Can'

Inspections(5)
The inspection revealed 18 fire and life safety violations including inoperable fire doors, missing emergency lighting, unsecured oxygen tanks, blocked electrical panels, and multiple failures to maintain required documentation for fire protection systems. These systemic maintenance failures created serious safety risks, particularly the compromised fire doors and emergency egress issues. The facility responded by correcting all violations by the follow-up inspection on 11/06/2025, demonstrating adequate corrective action within the reinspection timeframe, though the breadth of violations indicates significant prior maintenance lapses.
View original report →The facility had multiple moderate violations across medication security, dietary services, and staff credentialing: three residents kept medications in unlocked locations accessible to others; no current dietary manual was available for staff preparing specialized diets; two residents received insulin from non-delegated staff; and multiple staff lacked required certifications or TB testing. The facility's response was incomplete and reactive—management acknowledged awareness of some issues (missing dietary manual, lack of delegation system) but failed to take proactive corrective action until cited during inspection, with the administrator often unable to locate required documentation and stating corrective measures would occur after the inspection rather than demonstrating existing compliance systems.
View original report →The facility failed a second Fire Marshal inspection with multiple fire safety violations, placing all 38 residents at risk of harm from fire hazards and unsafe environmental conditions. The facility acknowledged non-compliance, created a 45-day corrective action plan, scheduled an outside vendor for repairs, and had maintenance staff actively working to address Fire Marshal directives. A follow-up inspection on 11/18/2024 confirmed all deficiencies were corrected, demonstrating effective remediation within the committed timeframe.
View original report →This facility demonstrated a pattern of serious fire safety violations across three consecutive failed inspections (May, July, August 2024), including missing/deficient fire alarm and sprinkler system documentation, inaccessible fire extinguishers, improperly maintained fire doors, unsecured oxygen cylinders, and compromised fire-resistance-rated construction. Most critically, facility leadership actively refused the July re-inspection by denying access when maintenance staff was unavailable, stating 'that's fine' when informed another citation would be issued. The facility showed minimal corrective action between inspections, with most violations being recited across multiple visits, and failed to provide essential safety system documentation including annual sprinkler reports, fire alarm inspections, and smoke detector sensitivity testing—demonstrating a systemic failure to maintain life-safety systems in this residential care environment.
View original report →The facility had multiple fire and life safety code violations including missing documentation for annual fire safety system inspections, improper fire doors, missing carbon monoxide detectors near gas appliances, broken electrical outlet covers, and improper ash disposal containers. The facility responded appropriately by correcting all violations within 45 days, as confirmed by the follow-up inspection on June 15, 2023, demonstrating timely remediation of the documented deficiencies. While violations were significant enough to warrant disapproval status, none posed immediate life-threatening danger and all were procedural or maintenance-related issues that the facility successfully addressed.
