Warm Staff, Excellent Care
Stafford Suites Kent receives overwhelmingly positive reviews praising its warm, caring staff who treat residents with genuine concern and respect. The facility is consistently described as clean, safe, and appropriately sized for personal care, with excellent food quality and variety. However, a few concerns emerge: one resident felt the environment was too memory-care focused for cognitively intact individuals, experiencing unwanted room intrusions and poor Wi-Fi; cost transparency issues were flagged with unexpected increases; and some residents desire more evening activities and easier access to the adjacent Senior Center.
My mom was not happy with the intrusions, people would come in her room at various times during the day. One time she woke up during a nap and there was a man standing at the foot

Everyone was so nice. Always asking if I needed or wanted anything. Lots of variety in the meals, which were delicious. If you didn't show up for meals, they immediately check on y
The staff and administration Stafford are very caring and empathetic. The facility is perfectly sized and appointed to provide a very personal level of care.
Inspections(3)
The inspection identified multiple moderate compliance violations including failure to provide required Medicaid disclosure documentation to 7 residents, delayed TB testing for 1 staff member (23 days late), medication administration errors for 2 oxygen-dependent residents (incorrect flow rates and missing orders), incomplete service plans for 4 residents on blood thinners/insulin without documented risk monitoring, and missing safety assessments for smoking and medical device use affecting 7 residents. The facility demonstrated a good response by promptly developing corrective action plans with completion dates within 30-60 days, fully correcting all deficiencies by the follow-up inspection on 12/05/2025, and implementing monitoring systems to prevent recurrence.
View original report →During a September 2025 DSHS inspection, investigators observed residents smoking in an improperly designated area with no signage and cigarette debris on the ground, raising fire safety concerns. By the October 1st follow-up investigation, the facility had already installed proper signage and established a compliant designated smoking area, demonstrating proactive correction. The Fire Marshal confirmed no International Fire Code violations were observed during the follow-up inspection and no injuries occurred. The facility's prompt corrective action before the formal complaint investigation concluded shows appropriate responsiveness to identified safety concerns.
View original report →The facility had four violations during a fire and life safety inspection: improper use of extension cords as permanent wiring, unsealed fire-rated penetrations in multiple locations, a malfunctioning emergency light, and blocked egress in the dining area. Two violations (extension cord and blocked egress) were corrected immediately on-site, demonstrating responsive action. The facility completed all corrective actions within one week, as confirmed by the follow-up inspection showing full compliance and approved status.
