Reviews for The Gardens at Juanita Bay
Loyal Families vs. Trust Concerns
Reviews are sharply divided between long-term families praising exceptional staff dedication and warmth over many years, versus serious concerns about transparency and communication raised by others. Multiple reviewers highlight caring directors, minimal staff turnover, and personalized attention that kept residents engaged for 7+ years. However, one family reports deliberate concealment of incidents and urges families to look elsewhere, while visit experiences were underwhelming with poor follow-through on scheduled tours.
I try to volunteer there when I can. The directors are caring and giving. The residences are so sweet and warm to each other. And they always seem to have different activities for the residences. A warm and caring place.
They weren't expecting me. She apparently was sent an email about me coming, but forgot about it. The woman there talked to me for a few minutes and said they didn't have any rooms, and gave me no reason to think this would be a good place for my mom even if they did have rooms.
My mom has been there about 7 years, best staff ever! I always feel so welcomed there. Staff has always gone over the top with mom and she is going on 93! Very caring place.
I would give 0 stars if I could! Very behind-your-back facility. No matter what they say, don't trust them. I can't stress how bad this place is behind the curtain! Find another place to trust your loved one's with. If something happens to your loved one, they will never let you know and try to cover it up until asked directly.
Its ok
My mom was at the Gardens for 7 years until I had to move her to a dementia family home. [Names removed] and all the staff are absolutely wonderful. There is very little turn over and there is always staff available if there is a question about anything. My mom was an avid gardener and helped with the yard in the summer to keep her busy. The social gatherings in the dining room is great and keeps them from isolating themselves. I would put any member of my family in this wonderful, caring ho
I had no problems with any recommendation A Place For Mom gave me. I spoke with them over the phone and they were professional and compassionate. My needs were understood and got valuable information to make a decision. Based on the community's location, they are 2 hours away from me, I didn't choose them because they were too far.
GOOD FACILITY VERY RESPECTFUL AND WONDERFUL CARE STAFF AND NOTABLE NURSING STAFF DELECTABLE LIVING QUARTERS AND AMENITIES FOR CLIENTS THAT ARE VERY WELL KEPT AND SANITIZED.
I also went to this place last year and again it was okay, but really dark inside from what I remember; although the outside grounds were really nice. I recall thinking that I wasn't sure with my mom being Jewish (losing a lot of family in the holocaust) whether a facility that is German would go off really well. Not sure if this would work.
