Reviews for Sunnyside Care

Dangerous Recent Decline Reported

Reviews are sharply divided between severe criticism and high praise. Recent negative reviews (2024-2025) describe dangerous neglect -- missed medical emergencies, untreated wounds, unexplained injuries, significant weight loss, and dismissive staff. Positive reviews (2021-2024) praise caring staff, cleanliness, responsive management, and abundant activities. This stark contrast suggests either significant recent decline in quality or experiences varying dramatically by unit/shift.

Darla is the worst, rude when i asked for help for my grandma. my grandma is unresponsive and had a fever and had not been checked. she seemed bothered when i asked for help to check on her, when i asked what the protocol was after we determined she did in fact have a fever she yelled saying she needs to check her chart. i called er. i DO NOT recommend this place.

If I could give 0 stars I would. When my father was sent to the hospital the calls we got from this place were to “secure his bed” to make sure he had a bed to come back to. Their physical therapy is a joke when they count the time that they are moving my father to the therapy room and back he was only receiving about 1/4 of the time he was supposed to be. My father had wounds and dressings that were supposed to be getting changed that weren’t being changed for weeks until my mother said someth

If I could give 0 stars I would. I wish to God I had listened to these reviews instead of thinking of the convenience of location. Please, do NOT send a loved one here! My mother lost 25 lbs in a little over a month. Their response - let's stop her dementia and antidepressant medications. She was taking them BEFORE she arrived there and was a healthy weight. The worst by far though is that they claimed that my mom dislocated her brand new hip, BROKE not one but TWO ribs AND her back by lying in

My mom has been there for almost a year, I have been trying to find her a different location but nothing available for her needs. she hates it there, her mind is still good and can communicate in her own way. She tries to with the staff too but they are too inpatient, lazy, young, immature and unqualified to be working there in my opinion. NOT all but most. You need to find better older, mature, qualified CARING help. Make sure they know that if this was one of their mommas or daddys, wouldn't

DO NOT GO THERE! If you love your family do not send them there! I was there longer than I needed to be do to being homeless and I had staff say that I was stealing snacks or taking more than I should. That the snacks belonged to the residents . Being accused of burning incense and being accused of all kinds of stuff. Uncompassionate about peoples life situations. Took away important medicine that my Doctor prescribed but had their doctor say I didn't need them. What is sad is the some of the

My experience with Sunnyside Assisted Living, has been great I’ve personally witnessed how amazing their employees are with their residents especially Julie Santiago, Maribel Rojas, and Randy Webb, not to leave everyone else out but many to name I highly recommend this place if you have a loved one who needs care or simply take a tour there and see for yourself how amazing these people are and how welcoming their staff is. You definitely see the happiness in their residents with out a doubt.

Our experience with Sunnyside Assisted Living has been very good. We have a friend who is a resident there. Every time we visit we encounter friendly staff and positive attitudes. Since Covid restrictions have prevented us from visiting this year, we have been very impressed with how accommodating the staff has been at getting every little thing we drop off immediately to our friend. They have been amazing at checking in with her and keeping family informed. When our friend was sick, the st

I can not say enough good things about Sunnyside Assisted Living. The facility itself is always clean, well maintained, and very well managed. The residents are happy and welcoming to new comers. We have recently moved my mother-in-law into Sunnyside Assisted Living, and she has been met with the warmth of old friends. It has been such a joy to see how quickly she has settled in. Even behind masked faces you can see sincere smiles. The staff is absolutely amazing! These are the most caring, com

My Mother has been a resident at Sunnyside Assisted Living for many years and my family and I could not be happier with the care that the staff provide to her. The staff is friendly, professional and very responsive to my Mother’s needs. This is especially true in this time of COVID. The staff have worked especially hard to maintain residents’ safety while also caring for their emotional needs. My Mother loves the staff there and we are grateful for the love, care and support provided by them.
