My name is June. I moved into Merrill Gardens at Tukwila about 7 months ago. It is the best move I made. I am a single senior from Wisconsin. It is a wonderful place for seniors like me to move in because all of the services they provide. They have wonderful meals 3 times a day and all kinds of activities from exercising to recreational outings to games! I also have my own 1 bedroom apt that I love! I love to bake cookies which I can do and give them to the staff and residents! I recomme

The staff is outstanding. I am treated like a very special member of their family. Many activities to choose from which is very important to me. Love having things to do and staying active. I highly recommend living and enjoying life here.

My mom recently moved to Assisted Living at Merrill Gardens. She is loving the staff and environment. I love the support and timely responses we receive from staff. There has been need for lots of communication as she settles into a new routine in a new home, but all has been made easier by the responsiveness and caring nature of the staff.

The people at Merrill Gardens the staff that is are the best they could be. They're always willing to talk to you try and help you with anything they can. My in laws stayed at Merrill Gardens Tukwila for several months after my father in law had a stroke. Although the change from totally Independent Living to Assistant Living with a walker was a huge change for both of them, the staff and caregivers at Merrill Gardens Tukwila were truly wonderful! What we like the most about the community is that the staff are kind and attentive. The community is clean and organized and the staff have been helpful and supportive supportive as my mom is there in independent living.

Good staff, activities, cleanliness and location. At the time of our visit, there was also no Community fee. Seattle metro fees ranged from $[removed] from the 8 sites I toured.

I am completely satisfied with the lifestyle Merrill Gardens Tukwila offers my sister. She is flourishing, enjoying all the amenities and activities at the facility. The staff are personable, friendly and caring. The facility is always clean and I tell my friends it’s like my sister lives at a 5 star hotel. I’m happy she and family chose Merrill Gardens Tukwila for her home. I love visiting her there and often join her for a tasty meal in their awesome dining room.

Staff is caring needs some more training about when to call about issues don't need to call early in morning about things that are not urgent. The room size is great. More in general needs to be available for those of us who don't know what to expect.

The staff at Merrill Gardens Tukwila were incredibly helpful and supportive in the last months of my father's life. The care team was responsive and engaged, and they helped make a difficult time a little easier.

My 87 year old mother picked this place about 2 years ago. The staff and the facility are wonderful. I felt it was like staying at a 4.5 star hotel with many features. Merrill Gardens Tukwila has been an exceptional experience for our family. Before making our decision to select this senior community for our parents, we were navigating many challenges. Fahima and Shane made our experience seamless, loving and understanding. When I asked my mom, she said "All of our needs are being met including, social, exercise, activities and the dining room." I recently moved into Merrill Gardens at Tukwila, Independent Living. Everyone is very helpful, and wonderful. I like the food and services. I like the conversations with other residents here. I like the view from my unit. I am glad I don't have to cook anymore, because three meals are included each day. living here had allowed me to have more companionship.

My husband & I lived here when it was Holden South Center and a little while after it transitioned to Merrill Gardens about a year. The building is always clean. Housekeeping does an amazing job. The meals prepared by short order cooks delicious over seen by Chef. Servers are pleasant and professional and go beyond job description with residents. It's all about the leadership. Shane runs the place and he is so full of love for everyone, residents, staff and families. It's rare to fine someone this gentle, caring, and thoughtful. That transcends your all the staff, who work hard, sometimes to exhaustion, to help one another and the residents. I've never seen or heard an unkind or thoughtless word or deed. I can only hope to find such a place when it's my time to choose.

Unfortunately, my father-in-law passed shortly after we moved him into the community, so our overall experience was somewhat limited. That said, it seemed like a great place. The staff was awesome, especially under difficult circumstances. I wish he had had more time there

The attention from staff to residents and time keeping of medication or other treatment is extremely lacking so is alertness to pushing the help button. Other then that, everyone from the top down absolutely amazing and made you feel like you were apart of there family. I would choose Holden again if ever needed because of the staff is absolutely amazing.

Restaurant style dining and surprising how well dining staff know and care about residents, the feeling of family overall, the openness and welcoming upon entering, the different variety of activities, and genuine feeling of care majority of care staff gives my husband. I know he has improved so much, I feel he is safe, encouraged and welcome in the community.

A very beautiful place everyone was friendly and brought a home feeling

The facility is top notch, very modern clean, almost like walking into a 5 star hotel. I was greeted with smiles and helpful personnel. Seemed very professional and have not had any issues. My father in law has been moved to hospice which they provide. Very clean and organized, being I'm in another state and have only been there probably 10 time's the staff seemed very nice and most importantly attentive to the patient.

We picked this community because of the newness of the building, the food, the DIVERSE residents , the staff, the calender of events and the beautiful apts. (Spacious)

We are so happy with the Holden Memory care. The staff are all so caring and living to our aunt. From the first moment we arrived months ago we were so impressed that it always smells so good. The only thing I notice is the smell of yummy cooking food. It never smells bad, ever!

Staff is friendly and efficient. Very helpful. Enjoyed visiting with my former neighbor Audrey Davis. She looks good and seems to be adjusting well. She likes the people that work there

This place was very convenient as my company is just down the street and other things are also convenient. We are extremely happy with Holden.

I've been to many retirement homes over the years and this has to be the nicest one. The staff are always smiling and the residents are always up beat. I have been to many that everyone seems to be mad or just down in the dumps. You can really tell that the staff have the residents best interest in mind.

We moved two sisters in together 6 months ago. The staff has been very accommodating helping them adjust to their new living conditions. The ladies like the meals and activities. The staff has also been very good at watching over them and suggesting changes in the care plans.

We have had a great experience at Holden Southcenter Assisted Living and Memory Care. The staff have been wonderful to work with. My loved ones enjoy living in the community, and the staff are quick to respond to any questions the family has. Overall, this is a community I would recommend to others for their loved ones. The food is delicious and there are many food options. The Management Team truly cares about the residents, you can feel and see the kindness they have for all the residents

They've been great and we are so pleased with the care, the customer service and the facility! The only thing I'd question is the "value for the money" question. I'll spare you my rant about the exorbitant cost of LTC for the elderly by saying that [removed] in comparison to the others seems like a better deal both affordably (for us) and in peace of mind!

Holden Southcenter is excellent in all that they do. They care deeply about their residents and provide a beautiful environment. The chef does a great job of providing healthy and delicious meals.

Our family had an in person tour and while it was a great tour experience, the staff treated us so well and its a beautiful community - there was no outdoor space for our loved one to walk around and that is something that we wanted.

Six months ago (mid-March) we needed to re-locate my mother from mid-coast Oregon to the Seattle area, and after a lot of research we found Holden Southcenter. It is a new facility (Fall 2021), and very modern in its physical features and amenities. Like my mom said, "it's like a hotel!" Featuring both memory care and assisted living facilities on multiple floors, (2nd floor is dedicated to memory care) the building is easy to access, has excellent access features and health and safety controls

My parents are currently living at Holden Southcenter in Tukwila, WA and my father has done so well since coming out of the rehab facility in early June of this year. The staff at Holden Southcenter get all the credit along with the great amenities and safe environment that brings peace of mind to our family. My loved one is in memory care. We chose Holden Southcenter because of the price (it is all inclusive) and also they staff just seemed so much more caring. Wonderful new facility with a great staff. My mom is in assisted living here and my dad in memory care. Every staff member treats them with care, respect and consideration. Having occupational and physical therapy available on-site has been a great help. The food is very good with options that both parents have liked. Lots of activities. Dad flourished in the memory care unit and moms room is bright with a lovely view of the river. Mom says it is excellent here. Dad says they take good care

The previous guy that was opening the facility we really liked. Now he's not there, so it's been a bit of a change. But the other staff are fine. My friend really likes the living space and the fact that you can decorate it yourself and make it home. The kids have eaten there and were impressed with the food.
