Reviews for Fieldstone Memory Care
Caring Staff, Troubling Lapses
Fieldstone Memory Care receives deeply polarized reviews spanning several years. The majority of families praise the compassionate, attentive staff who formed genuine bonds with residents and provided excellent end-of-life care in a beautiful, home-like facility with strong activities and amenities. However, multiple critical reviews from 2017-2024 detail serious concerns: inadequate dementia training, poor hygiene and fall protocols, unresponsive management, dirty rooms, lack of communication with families, and even eviction of a wheelchair-bound resident after an unreported fall and untreated fractures. Recent negative reviews suggest ongoing management and training deficiencies that contrast sharply with the glowing testimonials from satisfied families.

It has taken me a long time to be able to write this review. My dad was at Fieldstone Memory Care in Yakima for a year about 3 years ago. He was in a wheelchair and only had use of one arm. I would visit him weekly and my mom visited him 3 to 4 times a week. I observed staff multiple times not paying attention to the patients, especially when they were in the courtyard. His bathroom was always dirty and they didn't give him regular showers unless we asked them to. When we toured the facility, t
During my father's stay at Fieldstone Memory Care, both my mother and I were so appreciative of and touched by the attentive care he received. The thoughtfulness and dedication of each staff member with whom we interacted was impressive. It was obvious that they very much cared about their work and their patients. And there were times at which Zaundra and her team just went way above and beyond what we could have ever expected. We feel very fortunate that my father spent his final months in such

This is not the place if you are looking for experts in dementia . If you’re lived one is comatose and in a wheelchair you could consider but they are not good with anyone else. Communication was poor at best once our dad was admitted . They talk a good game and look pretty but underneath that I wouldn’t deal with them.
Management unacceptable - they don’t keep appropriate records, treat family poorly and do not communicate well. This is not the place for a higher level dementia patient or for families with loves ones who need communication and support .
[name removed], [name removed], and [name removed]were amazing to our mom and family yesterday as we transitioned her into memory care from our home. They facilitate the move with care, compassion, understanding, and choreographed the move in with expertise and skill. Fieldstone is a beautiful, homey facility with many activities and opportunities for socialization for those with dementia and Alzheimer's. Highly recommend these fantastic caregivers and wonderful facility!
My mom is at Fieldstone Memory Care. We chose it because of its location and the quality of staff. They are very caring and very accommodating. They have people that come in to put on little shows, they have music playing, card playing, people that come in to give talks, and they engage the people with conversation and movies. The community is very nice. It's like being in a little town.

We were fortunate to have connected with Michelle Perales when my sister-in-law was needing help due to her dementia. Michelle went above and beyond assisting us with the process of placing Kathy in assisted living, and even accompanied her and a friend to a doctor's appointment to obtain the admission orders. We quickly discovered that my SIL would need Memory Care Services, and Michelle and staff again assisted us with the transition to a more secure unit. All of the staff have been helpful
We toured Fieldstone Memory Care and I was very impressed with the facility. The people were great. They just had a waiting list, and it was not something that we could even get my dad into, and we had no idea how long it would be. At the time, they had three individuals who were on hospice, but we had no idea how long it was going to be before we would be able to get my dad in the facility. But a super high-quality facility, and great people as far as giving us the tour. Incredible. They have
We had to place a friend into memory care and were able to get him into Fieldstone. The care was excellent and the employees made him feel at home. I am so glad he was able to spend his last year of life being cared for and surrounded by a loving staff. I would highly recommend this facility for those needing TLC during a very difficult time of a loved one's life!
We toured Fieldstone Memory Care. I would rate the assisted living and memory care a 5. Pricewise, I would rate them at a 3. They've got very, very helpful staff up there. They have a very high staff to resident ratio. We did not try the food. The only thing that they didn't have facility-wise for the residents is a swimming pool. They have two gyms, a garden area where the residents can grow their vegetables and do their gardening, arts and crafts, two libraries, one on each floor, a
They're awesome - the friendliness, the cleanliness, the independent rooms with their own bathrooms - it's huge for our loved one. We spent a lot of time looking around and this was our number one choice by far. When we walked in, we just knew. This was it. When we go to visit, we see the residents sitting around a table laughing, with books, puzzles, TV. So it looks like they're doing a good job of keeping them occupied. There's a courtyard where we see a lot of the residents out walking,

We would like to thank Fieldstone for the care and compassion (and love) shown to my dad over the last 15 months. My dad moved from Tacoma to be closer to us (our decision since he needed care and my mom had just passed.) He had health problems on top of dementia and they offered him the care we were not able to. I will not name names here because the list would be too long (we thanked those we could personally.) There are so many angels working here. Of course dad complained about wanting to go
On behalf of my 91year old Grandfather, Albert Stone(who doesn't have an email account), he would like to share how happy and grateful he is for the staff at Fieldstone Memory Care. After no longer being able to do everything he could at home for his wife(my grandmother) of 71 years, Betty, he decided that Fieldstone, being a top of the line facility, would became her new home in August of 2020. The staff at Fieldstone quickly became Betty's family and cared for her with the utmost respect until

They are making care staff that have COVID-19 stay and work!! They can spread it even more to care staff/residents, I can’t believe this! Management needs to make better decisions, if you want your family member to actually be cared for and loved this is not the place for them because management does not care if they get infected by COVID-19!!!!!! All they care for is being fully staffed so they won’t have to work on the floor with the residents like they never want too !
I have never seen any mess at the community, even after meal time. The staff is very conscious about cleaning up any mess immediately. My dad's room has never been dirty! The staff is really great, they are super friendly. They even know my name and will say hello to me by my name every time I walk in. They are also super welcoming and we never feel like we are bothering them. We feel the community is a great value. No dollar amount matters when it comes to taking care of dad, but Fieldstone
Thank you for caring for my dad Cruz Pardo, I couldn’t list all your names because I would be afraid I would miss one. Although it hurts my father passed, my dad, my family, Were always treated with respect and care. I highly recommend Fieldstone memory care and Fieldstone Orchard west
Clean facility with a great staff!!
I have never seen or experienced a staff, both corporate and front line that care so genuinely for their residents. Each staff member is willing to go above and beyond at any time. Residents are well cared for, spoiled even (as it should be!) Owners and corporate staff are present and involved in day to operations which eliminates the red tape and delays in decisions and cares. The dining staff and chef are amazing, the food can't be beat. I can not say enough about how wonderful this community
My mom has been a resident at Fieldstone in Yakima for 3+ years. She loves the staff and the beautiful facility and grounds. She feels safe, loved, and cared for. The nursing staff have advocated on her behalf for various programs and support that have improved her quality of life in many ways. It is the greatest comfort to me that I don’t have to worry about her being cared for, but instead am able to enjoy our time together. My greatest joy is being able to bring my grandchildren to visit the
Caring, respectful & knowledgeable! My grandma spent her last years here and she could not have been more well cared for, in fact, many of those caregivers she counted as friends. It was always fun to visit her. My other grandma now volunteers here and loves it.

I cannot say enough good things about this community! Staff is kind and caring activities are abundant and the food is out of this world!
A big heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Feildstone that demonstrated love, concern and excellent care for my cherished loved one in the last year of her life. I recommend this fine group of caregivers to any family who finds themselves in this difficult situation.
My mother was a resident for an extended stay until her passing. Every visit was a new opportunity to see gifted and loving professionals serving the needs of those in their care. Mom had nothing but praise for those who attended to her needs. She was treated like a cherished member of the family. Thanks to all who made her life safe, secure and wonderful. She truly loved each of you.
When I go to visit Memory Care, all the patients look happy and well taken care of. I witness staff members going above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable and the environment is always clean. The meals are appealing and a nice variety is offered. i would HIGHLY recommend the care and value of this community to other families.
None of the staff are properly trained to care for Dementia residents. They fail to follow state guidelines for checking incontinence patients within a 2 hour period, I witnessed several patients walking around with soaked pants. Oral hygiene isn't checked properly, male patients are not shaved on a daily basis, women's hair isn't combed or groomed respectfully. The aides are not all certified to handled the patients needs nor do they understand the common knowledge of a dementia related person.

Refuses family to see patient with no reason.
My mother is doing very well at the Fieldstone Yakima. She is still adjusting to the changes, but they treat her very well and keep her safe. I am happy with the care she is receiving there.
My dad is doing well at this community. Everything seems to be going fine for my dad and our family. The care is good and it is not perfect but still good. The staff are nice people but they do not respond in a prompt manner when being asked for help.
They helped me get her medications straightened out. They just can't help me enough with whatever I need done. Whatever I want or she needs, it has been perfect. As far as activities, I just don't know what they do, because I am not there enough.
Fieldstone was bigger and definitely designed for Alzheimer's patients. They had a lot of the newer activities. I was impressed with the way it looked. It was set up like a little mall. They can have some ice cream or something to drink. They can go get their nails or hair done, and they can have a spa. It was a really nice concept. It seemed like a new fun place to be, but for my father, they're all the same. It was just awesome. I would like to be there. I met with the administrativ
