The care has been good, however, communication has not always been optimum. The staff is friendly and helpful. I appreciate David’s cheerfulness and positivity and Ivette’s help with some post care instructions for my loved one. The facility is clean and welcoming.

Finding the right place with the best people made this transition with my mother easier. From the minute we came through the door the friendly staff greeted with smiles and hellos. Mom had been at another assisted living facility, and the care she received there was substandard. We moved mom into Yakimas Highgate facility, and the care she receives there is excellent. Chris, Katie, Michael, and the whole team go's above and beyond every day. I would highly recommend Highgate to anyone who has a family member who needs assisted living.

We love Highgate in Yakima! Our aunt is so happy to live there because she is so well-taken care of. Her primary care partner Lisa P. is incredible! Highgate in Yakima is a beautiful place. We have been so happy with the care and service our family member has received at this facility. After one year at a high-priced, large corporation, facility in Issaquah, I am so thankful I was able to move my mom into Highgate! I admit I have not been the best nephew when it comes to visiting my aunt. I went to see her recently and I have to say she actually seems better in many ways than when she first moved in several years ago. She knew each of us without any prompting, told stories about what she had been doing and remembered things from years ago. She admitted she is happy there and it feels like home. I have visited friends at Highgate and they cannot say enough about the care they receive there. This is EXACTLY the place that I would want to go myself if and when my family cannot care for me. I can't say enough good things about Highgate. Our mother lives in their assisted living section. They are caring, attentive and have allowed her to have an interactive life with activities she enjoys. They take the time to go ask her if she is interested in each activity. Mandy Ketcham, the community relations coordinator at Highgate, is a tremendous resource for dementia patients, and is willing to teach a class or help anyone in need. She not only is knowledgeable, but truly cares for others.

Generally, I think all is well with the limited assistance that my mother presently needs. About the only comment I would make is that she complains about the food and/or limited selections. Not sure if anything can be done about that. She might complain anyway. Maybe asking her (and others) what they would like might help. You may already do this and I just don't know.

We moved my father in after his insurance quit paying for physical therapy. The care he receives at Highgate is much more personnel and respectful. There are more caregivers for fewer patients.

Our 101 grandmother is well cared for at Highgate. Staff is consistent and gentle. In the 6 months she has been there we have come to know most of the staff by name and they know our names. Always greeted with a hello. They listen to our concerns and take care of any concerns we have right away.
