Reviews for The Chesterley
Caring Staff, Inconsistent Management
Chesterley receives predominantly positive reviews praising compassionate staff, cleanliness, and quality care, with families particularly highlighting smooth transitions and attentive communication. However, serious concerns emerge about inconsistent management (multiple director turnovers), inadequate supervision in memory care leading to resident safety incidents, and communication breakdowns requiring frequent family intervention. Cost is also mentioned as higher than expected by several reviewers.
The service from nursing staff has been first rate as well as housekeeping, laundress, ,and special kudos to [name removed] who gave us the tour and got my brother settled in. Dining room spotless, excellent service, food very good and hot when you receive it. My bother loves it there.
This might be one of the most important reviews I have written. My mother in law began having some health issues several years ago. The decline was heartbreaking and steep. We did some in come care as much as possible but it became difficult to keep her safe and comfortable at home. She had made everyone promise not to move her to a "home" so the decision to do it was almost unbearable. The people here are AMAZING. Mary got the evaluation and paperwork done in record time. They helped us
The place is nice and very clean. The employees are polite and friendly. The apartments are nice and spacious and everything you could need is right there. I hope that this review helps others when deciding on were to take loved ones or to go themselves.
The people at Chesterley were very capable and professional, and best of all they were kind to my dad. From assisted living into the memory care unit, they served him well with respect and gentleness. Thank you to the whole crew.
Things I liked: very attractive facility, clean and well-kept for the most part. Food seemed fine, though nothing special, and not prepared on site, but brought in from a neighboring facility. Things I disliked: Not always adequate supervision. Not all staff trained to deal with difficult situations. Lack of expertise in dealing with challenging behaviors. My wife exhibited some aggressive behavior herself, but they did not have the interest or expertise to help her. I observed my wife being
They are very kind, caring, and attentive. Every one we checked was to expensive but this one was better for the money. I like them a lot. They are very caring and it's not too crowded.
As an RN with years of experience, I felt the need to review this place. My mom was in an assistant living in Selah that was very unsafe with horrible treatment of all the residents there. I reported these unsafe conditions to APS and all I was told was my concerns were unfounded. After researching, I went to Chesterley and met with Emily. She was amazing and my mom was out of that horrible place within 1 week. The transition was fast and smooth. I can’t ever repay her for how hard she worked an
My loved one's experience at Cascades Chesterley was very poor. The memory care Director needed to have more communication with her care staff and with the doctor. I had to be there nearly every day.
Cascade of Chesterley is the most welcoming community I have ever been involved with. Everyone here treats you like family and the management team is outstanding. They communicate together on everything and always willing to help one another out. I would recommend Chesterley to a family looking to place a loved one in assisted living/memory care or a friend looking for a new job.
I will be admitting my father to Cascade Chesterly and think that their initial evaluation for acceptance into the facility was excellent. Emily did an outstanding job getting things taking care of. I did not think that my dad would qualify as his needs are alot but I was reassured that they would be able to care of all his needs and he would never need to go elsewhere. Emily was awesome, she really knows her job. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.
My loved one was previously a resident at Cascades Chesterley and the experience was overall terrible. On her third day at this facility, I found medication that she should have taken on the floor. The door going to the kitchen was filthy. I also found mold in her heating/ac unit. I would not recommend this facility to others.
not what the facility promises! look elsewhere if you CARE for your loved ONE. Been here 3 years with dogs and now that they are again under another Management company: Cascades Chesterley is trying to push us out - being they are desperate they say animal abuse, but have no evidence, in talks now with lawyer as I'm the only one with dogs here. Also diabetics don't come here, they don't OFFER food for DIABETICS either as promised even as I have asked the chef to make dishes diabetic person eats
Personally, I think that their initial evaluation for acceptance into the facility should be better done. I did not think that my dad qualified for that type of Residential Care, his needs were more complex. The staff were great. [name removed] was awesome, she really knows her job. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.
They communicate well. They have been very friendly. I would recommend to other families.
Words can't describe how happy I am to place my mother at Cascade of Chesterley. We went to several communities, no one seemed to care about her as a person only as a piggy bank. We placed mom here about two months ago, the staff is great at communicating her needs with us. Everyone is always so friendly. I highly recommend.
The people and everything was friendly but they could not be so greedy, the pricing is outrageous.
My mother has been here for a few years i have no complaints there has been no decline in her health if anything they keep up with daily activities personal hygiene and is a very well rounded facility i am very pleased with there care staff so friendly and always with a smile on there face HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!!!
Our mother spent 2 years in this facility with a constant turnover of directors, nurses, and staff. Terrible food, inconsistent room cleaning, no transportation, and no activities are just a few of the cons for this place. Upper management at this location could care less about the residents, were impossible to get ahold of, and could be outwardly rude. Residents are to blame for problems that arise here, no accountability for anything ever on their end. Our mother’s medical symptoms were ign
This seems to be a nice community. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. Outings, book readings, and more are some of the activities available for the residents to choose from.
I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The community appears to be an excellent place to go. The only concern I have is that the care is top of line. It would be nice for the staff to be more proactive and interactive with the families to keep us updated on our loved one's care.
I would tell others not to put your loved one here. My mom has been here for a year and a half and they have been through 3 different directors and have a ton of turnover of staff members. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. I got a call yesterday from my mom asking for help and she said that they brought her lunch and opened the window and I told her I did not want the window open and she just left. I tried calling them and their phone number said that it was out of servic
This is a great facility! My loved one is doing quite well here. The facility is very clean and well maintained, and the staff are sure to cater to my loved one's needs. She is receiving healthy meals and she enjoys participating in the activities that they have to offer.
I was very happy with how things went for my mother while she was at this community. All of the staff where wonderful and took great care during her stay. She had a lot of health issues so it was important that wherever we had put her had a knowledgeable nursing staff. The only thing I was not expecting was it was a little more expensive then we had planned for.
My parents are happy here. The staff is great and caring. Very clean and well taken care of. They do offer activities. I was a happy they offered great memory care if needed. . I would suggest families consider all options for loved ones .
Chesterly saved my mom life. I am so grateful for everything they have done for her. My mom did not want to go into assistant living but after a problem with hers meds then she was not eating it because a medical issue. When I moved her in she had not eaten anything solid in 4 days. She was more like a mental patient. The evening we moved her in she ate dinner and loved the food. She has never missed a meal. She keeps telling me how great the food is. She loves the activities especially t
I got to take a tour of this community. It seemed and looked nice. It looks and feels like the other communities. The only difference from this community than our final choice is the price. The price is too much in my opinion.
We have had a very good experience there no complaints, due to resident passing away didn't spend any time in facility.
We met with Ms. Jackson Tuesday 1/13. The one bedroom that we were shown was nice; I would rather have the bathroom off the bedroom. Common areas were clean. We did not meet any of the residents. Staff were very nice.
This community was very well organized and the staff was helpful in offering information regarding Mom's needs. This property has was very appealing.
